Fortunately there are some interesting games (IMO) planned for 2023 and 2024: Lords of the Fallen, Warhammer 40k: Spacemarine 2, Warhammer 40k: Rogue Trader, Blue Protocol and Titan Quest 2, to name a few.
This is because they are just copying the vision of the original creators who do not work at blizzard anymore, so these "New Devs" never had a passion for Diablo to begin with. This is why they can't make a new "GOOD" game recently in there own universe of IPs (Warcraft Diablo etc.)
What's sad is that if they had just designed this as a pure single player action RPG, first and foremost, with a deep, involved and creative story, and expansive worlds, that can be played purely offline, without internet, to cater to the bygone era of Diablo 1, it would have done much better (and with everyone given enough stash tabs in pure offline single player to never need to buy anything). The online, multiplayer, stash tab and seasons component can then be completely separated and evolve, while the original single player game remains fixed. And there would be no way to use a single player offline character in multiplayer.
But instead we have a game that is somehow worse than Diablo 3
