Do we need to purchase again?
Or can we claim the Steam version after linking Battle.net account with Steam?

Why do people ask silly questions like this? It's like asking if you bought a game on Epic Store will it work on Stream.

So, if you buy a game at Gamestop, can you claim it for free at Best Buy?

Doesn't matter anyway you need a Battle.net account, that means if you start it in steam it will open the Battle.net Launcher in order to start D4

Buy again, however it seems to keep the progress and I hope it also keeps the battlepass credit I got from the Ultimate version. Maybe it keeps those unlocks even if I get Standard here.

Eh, I have ult version in Blizzard launcher already yet the ability to purchase cosmetics through Steam would be great...

TL;DR I'll wait for 75% discount playing my Ult version directly through Blizz.

Yes. Although I already have the ultimate edition, I don’t know if buying standard will be sufficient to carry progression.

They transferred over Destiny from Battle.net to Steam when the game wasn't free to play yet, so technically it is possible.
Also I have got numerous of Steam versions of VR games I initially bought on Oculus.
Frontier had the option to generrate a Steam key for Elite Dangerous even if you purchased it from their own store.
Loads of examples to not make this a silly question.

Standard is enough as long as no DLC is out. You just need a client to log in with your account.

No way they will let people buy it again 😂 that high level of .... "non-smartness"..
Of course it will be free for whoever owns it on Blizzard.

I'll probably do the same, it works quite well adding the game to Steam usingthe bnetlauncher (https://www.madalien.com/stuff/bnetlauncher/)
Just running it on Steam Deck is a pita with the Batle.net and Proton.

I'm thinking of the ability to play this on Steamdeck myself, though yeah if Bnet is required ontop of it anyway it might get tricky. :lunar2020thinkingtiger:

im not purchasing it again but i am sure they will let users carry over their game to steam account, you can already link battle.net account to steam
also Bethesda has let users carry over games to steam which is also owned by Microsoft, so they likely will make this avaible for battle.net owners as well do not re purchase this just wait.
