i suppose an option would be good anyway
no, i meant how immortal has wasd.
Just need a hotas setup with one of those flight control boards has like 200 buttons. Ez.
For what worth to topic, i say no too.
Mouse for movement on PC, if do want more granular control over movements, just get a controller cos be way more effective than the on/off inputs of wasd. How I felt after trying controller with d2 res at least.
Would love to see another option in the game for folks that love to see a configurable WASD scheme in general to control their character. Or at the very least, greenlight ReWASD with the option to disable auto-switching the UI when gamepad input is detected.
No.
If D4 has WASD, it would be a step-removed from its psuedo "Direct Control" scheme. Diablo's mouse-movement is a long-standing part of the game and is better for a more "organic" control experience.
I personally prefer controller support (console) in my Diablo titles. But, i bought the first Diablo off the shelf, so I have a long-developed and learned relationship with that scheme.
Also - There is a very significant difference between WASD and path-finding assisted mouse movement. If more direct WASD control is used, that pathfinding become less significant. The differences there can be seen between PC and Console players in D4, btw. :)
In a competitive situation, the control schemes become much more singificant in terms of play experience, so devs of those games may have to be pretty inflexible. D4 isn't one of those games, despite PVP options, but... who knows what may come down the line? :)
Options are good.
I'd ask wtf you typed, but it sounds like you're against common options and that's unfortunate for any PC gamer.
