Download without HD Textures

Is this something that can be done in steam? I recall having the option to do this using the BNet launcher

Steam doesn't have partial downloads except in very rare cases like Phantasy Star Online 2. I'm assuming since the HD texture pack isn't listed as a free DLC then you can't do this.

Warhammer Chaosbane has a separate download for HD textures, that's what should've been done with D4 on Steam. It takes a ton of space on the Steam Deck and Deck doesn't need HD textures anyways, I unticked it in Bnet when I installed it.

For uniformed: if you play on 1920x1080 screens then "no HD textures" saves about 40Gb space (and download time)

yeah they need to make the 4k textures a DLC we can opt out of. There's quite a few games that have done that.

It seems there is no option. I could've been playing right now but my download caps at 20 since my area is still on copper wires. Sad life.
