You need a unique item (ring?) for their damage to explode the heck out of the NPCs.
Alright thanks for the clarification.
I was always wondering about this.
However, that bonus where I stand still and my damage increases, would proportionally increase the minion's damage too, right? Given that their damage is a % of mine.
Outside of the close/distant scaling I have no idea how minion damage works, here is the consideration: slow weapons have higher damage level and the damage output is very different *for the skills*.
TL;DR try equipping slow high-damage weapon for better results (2h scythe)
Thanks, I am using a 2H, was just wondering if close/distance affect my minions in any way. I thought since the minions are a sort of skill, they will deal more damage if I am personally away from those enemies, but you clarified that.
I'll play around with it for sure. Thank you very much though.
So after you posted this, I decided to try and look for a more detailed answer again and this time I found a YouTube video which breaks it all down pretty well.
https://youtu.be/Ch49im9cvFU?feature=shared&t=411
The video starts exactly regarding my original question, however if you're interested it also talks about the other stuff. Thanks for pointing this out. Take care!
It would be nice if some of these things would be straight forward and logical.
Once again PoE does a good job of this, because when you preview your abilities, it literally tells you if the gem works or doesn't work with other abilities. There choices here aren't as vast, but it still would have been nice to have such and overview to know whether you're utilizing your affixes optimally or if some are wasted.
