I mean Poe has 15k right now

Steam D4 player count is useless as mentioned before absolute majority of people bought the game through Bnet

From the article:
"On average, Diablo 4 sees about 314,346.00 peak concurrent active players each day. This number can increase during weekends or when new updates or seasons are released."

Even WT 1 HC has a good amount of players...

Steam sheltered blind hating, dude has no idea whats going on.

That site isn't accurate at all. Why are you using it as proof? Their site literally says "All data presented by ActivePlayer.io are all estimated data and should NOT be used as factual reference."

8 billion people in the world, only 160k playing D4, its a fraction of a fart. Game is overhyped with ads, yet every streamer or game reviewer says D4 is sht, doubt many will return for the expansion.

Most that are still interested in playing are either Russian or Chinese, what are the player numbers for America and EU? who are more aware of reviews.

10000 would be good in the 1990's lol, 10000 is terrible by 2023 standards. You really think thats enough revenue to keep the game running? Now check the % of players that use in game real money shops.

Game is DEAD.

Game is a huge success. You realize how much has been made for shareholders, just from sales. It will live for a long time. Try using "google"

Sad its crashing so much, it ruins the play for me, I hope its fixed in next patch. I'm a streamer leaving PoE forever and want to find something stable to share. Afraid of backlash if I stream this one though.

Nothing worse than playing during a helltide and crashing with 200-300 embers. I can only get 4 living steel chests every time it's active. And if it crashes during one, I lose the chance at 1-2 chests at least and that doesn't even include the fact i may get bugged at the initial start-up screen.

If you are wondering I have a RTX 4080+ and a intel card with a 1GB connection.

Sad about what you guys will write in response to this post but its all true!

Give it 2 weeks.
So, it's been 2 weeks now.
It peaked over 12k yesterday and today.
What now?
Let me guess, you'll "prophesy" that the game will be dead in another 2 weeks. This time for sure.
Blizzard is one of a few companies to ever had 11 million concurrent players. Let that sink in. 10.000 is a joke, a crap beta game.
10k players for a blizzard game on the largest game market platform, thats pitiful. Use common sense. If d4 player count was healthy, they wouldn't release it outside of battle net circle. The price is way too high and there are better games. Free even, like poe and i dont even play that and i know it to be true. No, what this game sells is pretty cinematics and im not paying 70 eur for cinematics and lame arpg formula that hasnt evolved in decades. Theres better new fresh experiences in indie games. If i want diablo i'll just replay d2 or any one of its clones.

You are wrong here, they would never release D4 and Overwatch on Steam if not for Microsoft, D4 active player count is ~4.7 mil players (it's the count of people who logged it during last 30 days), and if you wonder how much concurrent players it has during the day that number ranges from 160K to 314K concurrent players (thanks to https://activeplayer.io/diablo-4/ for accurate data) and it's a very good and healthy numbers!

The only problem is that Microsoft shareholders after purchasing ActiBlizz found out that the number of Bnet users didn't grow during the last 10 years, while Steam userbase became twice larger in the same period of time, that's what made Microsoft to push Blizzard into releasing their games on Steam, because large corporations such as Microsoft can actually close any department if doesn't show any growth (even the ones that is doing pretty well).

I just say this - as soon as the number of Game Pass subscribers stops growing or God forbid starts to drop, that same moment Microsoft just pull the lever and close Xbox department for good... They probably already would've done that if it wasn't for Phil Spencer, because Microsoft isn't Sony, Microsoft doesn't have to make games to stay afloat!

So about 4,7mil bought the game, how many refunded it?

4.7mil is the number that returned to check S2 (last 30 days), on release it was said that they had almost 6.7 or 6.9 mil of players.

So we can assume that almost 2mil refunded or just lost any interest in D4

Sure people always buy games hoping they fail. You must be a smart fellow. How many bought the game again? 12K that's wonderful. Score one for the champions of mediocrity:steammocking:.
it's incredible how much a person can be stupid only to give credit to their own theory, even if there are clear clues that they are wrong. It's really this hard to admit that 95% (and it is a conservative estimate) of the people that have brought the game is on BattleNet and not on Steam? At this point, yes, I have definitely overestimated people's basic minimum intelligence, that really thinks only Steam exists
