Is it worth it?
I'm planning on purchasing this game but I seen a lot of negative reviews such as a lot of microtransactions & battle passes to the point where the active players count are dropping.

I don't planning on purchasing their microtransactions & battle passes I'm more like a casual gamer, I just want to play it casually will I survive the game without spending any money on those microtransactions & battle passes?
will it makes me to grind like crazy coz I'm free player?

I like Diablo 2 and I think Diablo 4 are masterpiece like Diablo 2?

No.

Putting asides its mountain of issues.

Their '25% sale' makes it barely cheaper than any other Standard priced Triple A game. I know companies are all starting to try and push for higher prices by large margins. But this one isn't even worth it at $60. Not to mention the money you are likely to spend on Ingame Purchases...

Wait till at *Least* A 50%. Maybe even a 75%. Shouldn't take too long. The game is failing to hold player attention and they'll get desperate for an influx.

Not at all, game sucks. Wish I never bought it.

I would only suggest giving blizzard money for this to someone who is really into ARPGs.

But if you were really into ARPGs, you already played this game for a week or two during pre-season, and a week or two during S1.

If you aren't really into ARPGs, this game is going to get even more boring more quickly than the other top-tier ARPGs. I would suggest literally any of those over this one.

Reading steam reviews is pointless. The best thing you can do if you actually want a solid option, as well as see season 2 gameplay and updates, is to watch a YouTube video. It's been known since the game was announced for steam that it was gonna be review bombed. Whether you like the game or hate it, steam forums is one of the most toxic places you can get real answers.

There's enough to do in the game for a first-time player and you can completely skip the battle passes or micro-transactions (they appear to be cosmetic so far).

If there are other ARPGs that you haven't yet tried such as Path of Exile or Grim Dawn, consider trying those as well. The former for free, the latter having a base game sale fairly often.

Honestly the game itself is fine up to a point. Endgame is terrible. it's may not seem like it at first. As for blizzard as company. They went from incompetent to worse. I wouldn't trust any decision they make. if You just want to play the game for the sake of fun and that it. then it's good. but if you want more. to be involve with the community. Care for it's development and growth, Stay away. Blizzard has truly hit rock-bottom. I have play from earlier release. I stick by lot of it and realize, how bad of a relationship it is and walk away and honestly. i want nothing to do with blizzard anymore. Blizzard has lose any value and meaning. I'm not writing this in anger. i genuinely think there's is nothing left to say,

I'll add a bit of nuance. I think actually that if you've never played a Diablo game before then there's a much higher chance you'll find this worth it. As a game, it's technically solid. I think though if you've played and enjoyed Diablo games before, then this becomes very likely to disappoint you because you will have certain expectations for a new installment which this game does not live up to.

By buying it now you'll have about 30 to 50 hours of enjoyment from the game's main story and them you'll try to make your own fun for about 20 hours until you figure it out that you'll be doing the same stuff over and over again for neglectable improvements and upgrades. Then you'll go either by the route of the sunken cost phallacy and will cope very hard by thinking that since you already dumped this much time, you might as well keep dumping it in hopes that it will bring you fun again; or you'll abandon the game like the majority of people did and will only try and catch up whenever a season drops in hopes it's fun (but it won't be much of an improvement, so it'll still take about 10 to 20 hours for you to decide). Also good to remind you that half of these hours you'll drop on the game will be spent checking items and deciding if they're good or not and backtracking on dungeons due to poor game design.

If you think this description is of a game you'd like to (pay to) play, go ahead. If you don't, wait for Season 3 and ask again. By my standards, right now in its current state the game is not worth your money or your time.

NO
purchasing the game to "try it out" is exactly why people are warning you. the game is designed not to be a good game - but one that has a deceptively long straw into your pocket.

If you want a good vid to watch about "why" a lot of people are pointing this out, YouTuber Cascenn very nicely compares and contrasts D4 with similar games of the genre:

To get a professional perspective, consider what Path of Exile producer/developer, Chris Wilson had to say about Diablo Immortal:

https://youtu.be/-fQ-B8HBrX0?si=ki0d68uYKFuSRVhv

there are comparable games in the genre that would be a better investment of your money and time. path of exile is free. try that out. there's also grim dawn and V rising

Worth 9$ because it feels and plays like ♥♥♥♥♥♥ mobile rip off made by weirdos who've never played a single part of Diablo series before.
