Release diablo 2 ressurrected on steam instead.
Since watching quite a bit of videos going over the pros and cons of d4 it seems to have more cons compared to previous titles.

They aren't going to release anything that would cannibalize potential micro transaction sales.

Yes! but also the original Diablo 2 + LOD still works online on Battlenet and has some really cool Mods.
