Is it worth getting Diablo IV after the season 2 update or no?

D3 and D2 are both cheaper and habe way more stuff to do. Please don't get lulled in by those shiny graphics, the game has basically nothing else to offer.

Absolutely. The base game was great first of all, enough for about 200 hrs of fun. S1 was a relative flop, but S2 they addressed many of the major points of concern from the players. The one thing that sets D4 apart is its open world imo...it was revamped very nicely for S2.

Also, you won't really get a proper answer on Steam and Reddit as these platforms seem to attract all the rats. They buy a second copy on Steam just to hate on Blizz lol.

That entirely depends on your expectations. If all you care about is the campaign then the answer is maybe. If you care about end game at all then absolutely not. End game is bare bones and tedious as hell. Oh, and you have to not mind the game being stuffed with 40+ $30 "Micro" transactions and battle passes every couple of months.

Personally, I say hell no. But it's your money.

It's an awesome game and you'll have a lot of fun for at least a few dozen hours. Beyond that it depends.

The season 2 is showing amazing changes and a good trajectory, the game is on the up and up so you should have fun not just in this season but beyond this season as well.

Also, the campaign is a banger.

Microtransactions are purely cosmetic, you cannot buy power.

people seem to think seasons are expansions or big updates...they're not. diablo seasons just reset every couple months and the goal of a season is to re-level a new character through the same content to unlock cosmetic rewards, that's it. season 2 added borrowed power abilities which will go away at the end of the season, so there is no point

No they can't add any content to the original game. There IS STILL NO ENDGAME ACTIVITIES. They threw in 3 bosses of stupidity that give you items that are already in the game. Once you get said items there is nothing to do with them. THE GAME DESIGNERS EPIC FAILED

Yes because next time you will have earned 2/3 of the platinum you need for season 3 . Ninety Tiers Of collectables what means you do not need to spend money on the store. Seven levels of Challenges. So far I played one it's better.
