It's unfortunate, but that's what's keeping me from giving it a shot until they fix this.
As the other person said though, you do have to be always online to even play.
Will never happen, it's live service. It is unfortunate.
There is a story, it last around 40 hrs, cutscenes are well done and it will carry you at around level 50, only after that the grinding begins.
If you liked the d3 story, no doubt you will like this one as well.
Unlike the previous D1-3 titles, difficulty progression is not linked to campaign/story hallmarks, though one may have to complete certain bits to unlock world tiers. (It's... very different in that respect.)
For hours, I dunno... I've certainly played it multiple/many times with many classes and levels, previously, but you could min/max a playthrough very easily. As above, you can probably get at least 20 hours out of it, but for a "completionist" it would take quite a bit of grinding to get the rest.
When you start grinding it out, though, you're going to end up making a decision whether or not you want to continue grinding for little-to-no reason. You can certainly finish the campaign long before you hit max level. And, an uber-Lillith kill may not really have any value for you - It has nothing to do with the campaign.
Unlikely, as split-screen doesn't normally get any playtime on a PC. I wouldn't expect them to put any effort into that. (It'd take a bit, since all info is online and you'd have to figure out licensing/etc/login/ownership... It'd probably be a hard "No.")
The only thing that could save repetitive play would be Seasonal content and that is free, no Battlepass or money required. ALL the Battlepass allows is for you to receive rewards for achievements during the Season. The additional Seasonal content is free for all. (It may be that the Seasonal content isn't really worth paying money for, anyway, to be honest.)
There isn't much "Campaign" here to play. It's of "fair" quality, with few truly interesting bits. It's... "OK." (The best bits, for me, appear to be part of a conglomeration of rushed content towards the end.)
There are, however, a lot of sidequests for you to explore, so there may be a good bit of playtime and value there for you.
Thx agen for explications , i ask because in cat play the game iet because im on work till 8pm
that's amazing, you're an idiot
Play it on Veteran for the best experience, and mix it up with some side quests to make the experience even longer. I played on Veteran, did the occasional side quest, and the campaign lasted me over 60 hours.
D4's sidequests are, quite frankly, the only truly bits of fresh variety in gameplay you're going to get. Use them to fill-in bouts of boredom if you're not working on the Campaign quest-line. (I started reserving some with all characters just to have something different to do in the late game.)
They are so very necessary as distractions from repetitive content/grind that I wish there were many, many, more. But, that costs time and work and, IMO, Blizz just ran out of those. The game could really use three times as many sidequests, with new sets being unlocked at each world tier...
I'm NOT saying your time spent with D4 will be a complete loss. I'm simply trying to let you know that those sidequests will help reduce the monotony when you're not directly working on the Campaign.
For the most part, the sidequests are actually pretty decent. There's some repetition in form, but it's not obnoxious and there are plenty of change-ups there as well as mutli-part sidequests.
On context for sidequests- They are not "story following" sidequests for the most part. The main Campaign, for instance, has moments where there are multiple "Main Campaign" quests parts available at the same time. The sidequests are mostly mini-stories, some location-driven ones, like "go to ___ and find/do/retrieve/kill/talk to the thing" and plenty of decent NPC-driven ones where you interact with/enable things that concern some minor town person's life/experiences in the setting. Truthfully, some are of much better overall in terms of narrative and engagement than the main campaign story. (Sister Octavia's "Malady of the Soul" is often quoted as the best and it really is an engaging multipart sidequest.) (Note: The main campaign isn't "bad," but it has some bad, really bad, design/narrative "game design" mistakes in it that I can't forgive, so... :) Your experience may differe and you may love it. But, rest assured, it wasn't designed to get you to engage deeply with it on a visceral level. ;))
Pro-Tip: Rewards for these sidequests can be pretty decent and some big ones have truly good rewards beside just exp. But, remember this - If the reward is an item, it's going to be "leveled" at the character level (or thereabouts) you completed it. Some items are pretty decent if they're high-level, so you may want to "peek" at a few guides before completing a quest, just to check. (Only for some big multipart sidequests. Single-stage or short sidequests might have ok'ish items as rewards.) In any case, none are irreplaceable if not properly leveled.
Note: Do the all the achievements for all the regions, too. You should be doing those as you progress through levels/regions/world tiers and side-quests. There are plenty of maps online to help you get those done. (Used to be you had to do all the Altars for every region for every character to get a fully revealed map. I'm glad they changed that, but it actually... ended up reducing gameplay content...)
