People not trying hardcore?

I thought Bnet was being silly, when I am on my regular I see towns with people and folks in the wilderness sometimes. Just hit 50 on a HC realized I never see people on HC server. One time in town I saw a dude. 0.7% achieved on steam, which yeah, new to steam. Not considering cross platform and consoles. I am, and I have it enabled.

Where my HC players at? Is there no benefit to playing HC on D4?

The free to try weekend is terrible on the servers. Doing HC right now is suicide.

I've never understood hardcore characters for games like this or MMOs. Why would you want to invest dozens our hours into a game just to die on accident and lose it all. I just don't get the appeal.

So yeah, not shocking that most people don't wanna play it past a few levels.

I finished mostly played HC during my time in D4, and I got already the hardest achievements (getting to 100 and kill Uber Lilith), just need to level 2 classes to 50 in HC to complete all HC achievements.

After that I will play Eternal for the rest of my time, since I was the only between my friends who played it, and I'm missing out the fun interactions between friends and randoms. Plus, I want to get Uber uniques in a character that won't perma die.

While I do enjoy the thrill that comes with the high stakes of hardcore modes, I DON'T enjoy losing characters to things entirely outside of my control, and this being an always-online game means I'm at the mercy of Blizzard's servers and I've honestly lost count, across several Blizzard games over the years, of how many times I've died to server issues on their end when internet on my end was just fine.

Hard pass for hardcore, and I know I'm not the only one who feels this way because this was brought up frequently when they implemented hardcore mode in another of their games, World of Warcraft Classic.

Unless they allow a full offline HC mode I'm not going to touch it, so far I saw very few losing their char for their own mistakes, most of them died of connection to the server, being it server side or on their side.

Whats the point of HC? its same game but slower. i rather push in to mobs way higher than my own level and push the limmits of my charakter..

also the Safe scroll made HC a joke.. same in POE all these "hardcore" gamers just using a logout macro anyways and brag about how good they are lol

I was going to start one the other night but my game kept crashing...I fixed it with an Nvidea driver roll back but still...I'm gunna wait till the games a little more stable

You might not see this response, but you asked a question and were given both answers and explanations for those answers. I'm not sure what you expected here beyond that, but pulling out a "sorry I tried to involve myself" just because the honest answers you got weren't 100% sunshine is pretty poor form. You wanted to know where HC players were at, or more specifically why you weren't seeing many. We told you. You wanted to know if there was any benefit to playing HC (beyond, I assume, the achievements that you can see yourself). We told you.

Pure facts

If OP returns then I'll give you even more cynicism. I lost a level 50 and 53 to server lag when the game first launched and right now the servers are performing EVEN worse. So HC isn't worth it, maybe when the player base dies HC will be more feasible.

Yeah imma wait for more stable servers before even thinking about hardcore. Definitely planning on doing it at some point with a few buddies though.

I'll play it for the achievement, but that's about it. Hardcore just isn't a playstyle that is worth my time.
