Can't close terminal dialogues

Whenever I'm in level 2 and up I always end up opening a broken terminal dialogue that won't close. Also I can't press the button to speed up the text. I have to close the game. Anyone else that happened too?

Yes, it has happened to me. Just don't press the key too fast or too many times to skip/advance the text or it will get stuck. I noticed that it only happens under those circumstances. I found that if I pressed the key only once to advance the text and then waited a couple of seconds before hitting it again to dismiss it, that it would not occur then. As long as you are reasonably patient I think you should be able to avoid it happening.

I reported it in the official Paradox tech support forum for the game a few weeks ago although I did not get a reply. Hopefully someone took note of it.

This has popped up numerous times on this forum. Just hit enter when it happens.

I hit every keys and all would work is Esc which brings up the main menu

just got this as well, but i was able to get out of it

hit F1 to bring up the command line, which seems to fix the problem for some reason

Thanks, fixed my phobia for opening terminals.

Good to know, I forgot about the console and didn't think of that

Pressing the enter key should close out the message when it is bugged.
