For exemple, you play a sram. You can have auras that create free traps, one aura per element. You create one blue aura. The trigger is "attack something" (it can be a mecanism, a monster an ally, doesn't matter). You attack something, the aura disappears, you have a free spell trap.
Now, you have a blue aura as before, but this time you manage to get a red one. Your blue aura will turn red and you will get a new one. And since the trigger is "attack something", if you don't attack, your auras will stay.
Basically, that's it. I might be wrong but i think you are limited to five auras at the time. Hope that helped you.
