Companion build
Is there any build that revolves around your companion doing the carrying?

I've really only played eniripsa, but they have some good companion synergy

Classes like Kokoro Brush eniripsa excel at getting gauges quickly if you build them specifically for it, and also have the ability to give their companions armor/shields/untargetable/heal them/etc, but their kit doesn't really do more than just "summon companions and help keep them alive"

Voracious Blade eniripsa can focus on their voracious heart passives and then their summoned companions can use the voracious hearts to replay their turns, it takes some brain power to set up optimally (and you need to upgrade the companions you want to use for it to be that strong) but it's pretty silly to do something like replay a dephased companions turn multiple times in a row as they dash through a bunch of clumped enemies over and over

The big things to look for if you want to do a companion based build:

Does the class have something that naturally makes them good at generating gauges? This can be something like a "gain an extra gauge for -x- actions" passive, or it could be the ability to play a lot of cards in one turn (then you can build your deck with cards that generate gauges and just play them all)

And does the class have any means to assist/support companions while they're on the field? This can be just straight up buffs/heals in the case of something like kokoro brush, but the pixukala xelor (the teleporty one) has stuff like the pixukala dial passive that gives you the 1 cost pixukala dial spell every turn that not only generates 1 ether gauge for 1 AP but also places down mechanisms that any player/companion can use to deal extra damage and generate some armor

If you want a decent starting point, https://wavendb.com/ is not currently up to date with the most recent patch (idk how out of date since I haven't been playing for super long), but the builds are a decent starting point and can give you an idea of how to do what you're looking for (it defaults to french and a lot of the builds/videos are in french but you can switch the website language to english to make it a little easier to search/read)

Appreciate the thorough rundown, and the website. It's kinda hard to figure out which build is companion build
I use the catalyst class which is very companion focused. I get the passive to get extra charges from the sinestros, and then combine it with the supervillains which mostly comes down to Nox and Igole. I also got the passive where when the catalyst hits he gets an activation spell that can be used to make companions hit again, and with Igoles passive he can get like 4-5 hits in a turn which lets me summon Nox instantly to get 2 more hits with him in a turn. It does a lot of damage and I've really enjoyed the build.

Companion build is an endgame build. They only shine with investment into the companions, i.e. companion runes and levels. Otherwise, the companions are too squishy and will get one-tapped by most mobs in the early midgame.

However, if you're so inclined to try it, a good starter set is to go into Kokoro Brush with Kokoro recycling at lvl 15. Take Rufus spell from Kokoro Brush and equip the armband with the +1 fire gauge on attack. You want to invest into fire spells (try to fit the ones with "Support" effect)—Flame Laboratory and Recovery are a must-have.

The general playstyle is to first summon Rufus next to your character and then attack him to get +1 fire gauge. Rufus spell also gives +1 ether gauge, so that's already +2 on your 1st turn. If you have Flame Lab drawn, you should always play it first before attacking so that you get potions. Those potions are cheap and is a quick way to generate fire gauge.

There are multiple early companions you can run, but I usually start with Sharp Sentinel (her attack gives +1 fire gauge), Dark Vlad (he's your main carry so try to keep him alive). The last two companions can be flex slots, I run Goultard and Adamai just for their AoE attacks.

I don't recommend mixing and matching elements if you are unfamiliar with companion builds or do not have maxed out companions. Keeping a singular element synergy is easier. Once you grind enough late game companions and items you can start looking into more advanced companion builds.

Which version would be the advanced one, if this is a starter build

id imagine using any of the combination companions that are part of a set, like supervillains or brotherhood of the tofu.

I tried looking up on those websites but none of them have a companion build, all are just DPS and solo stuff

There are multiple classes that are also companion-friendly but involve unique mechanics/shenanigans such as the suicide squad pramium (which i'm not familiar with the entire setup) that I have seen played. It is much harder to make work, and I have no idea if it's reliable in the endgame as I have yet to see one in action.

On another note, Kokoro Brush might be a bit expensive as a starting point, so you can try Tamashi Amber instead as it appears to have a much lower starting point and can also scale very well into the late game.

If you want to explore more companion builds you can try copying a deck on wavendb; although most of the builds are outdated, they are still relevant in terms of making a deck work. You can also try asking on the subreddit or the discord.

This is one of the best companion build.
On your 3rd turn you summon qilby and after that every turn you can use his aoe ability which deals more than 1k damage and heals qilby to full health.

Another good build. But as someone already said above, companion builds are endgame builds. To use them, you need to have maxed out companions and rings and also know the game mechanics well.

I have a Earth Pramium built around Kerub, he gets armor every time he attacks so using Pramium to give him multiple attacks makes him a immortal tank.
