Wakfu/dofus have been turn based mmos and have been huge successes.
Ankama's previous games in the universe the game is set have also been turn-based MMOs, more MMO-like than Waven will be but still.
"Huge".
This is a very obscure IP operated by a French team with zero non-FR communication skills. I've been playing Wakfu since 2012 and I have yet, to this very day, encounter someone randomly and be able to chat about Wakfu or Dofus.
They're very greedy when it comes to microtransactions on-top of it being turn-based. So yeah, not sure about the whole 'huge' thing.
A PvE game cannot be paid to win but rather "pay to skip" which is fine as long as it's not required.
They said it won't be one of those, we'll see in a few days.
Also, did you really make a completely off topic post just to mock me ?
Not sure where you've b een playing. When both those games came out, there were tons of players. Each area that you went to had multiple fights, and or people hanging around and doing fights or waiting for spawns.
I mean sure, as the time went on those number massively fell, but people move on. Ive came back to it a number of times, but while the areas werent hugely crowded, there were still many people playing.
Even now checking charts, they get anywhere from 5-10k players daily. So there are still fans of the series playing quite actively.
Wakfu on steam has 100-300 players daily, and we have 0 info about the number of players from the ankama launcher
We also have 0 info about dofus player count.
As much as I love wakfu, and come back to it like once a year, the game is definitely not in a good shape.
As a player of Wakfu for 10 years, you're so wrong on just about everything you said.
Sorry your server you played on was "dead". Just because you say "was wrong" doesnt mean everyone had the same experience as you.
As for someone who played each of these games for a year from release. I can tell you, from my experience. I am right.
You're probs a Remington player who has no idea what they're talking about, ngl.
