Saving Francis and Milius? [spoilers]
Is there a way to save Francis?
In book 3 chapter 11, in Phillip's dream, Waleran was there with Francis dead. I watched a YouTube playthrough and instead it was Phillip standing in the dream with a dead earl, not Francis.

I saved tom, but..

Is there a way to save Francis? And milius?
And how?
Thanks.

I was involved in the conspiracy, but Francis lived. The main thing to do is to lie convincingly and at every opportunity during that scene. If you give Waleran contradicting answers, he'll make Philip confess about the involvement of Francis. Otherwise, he won't suspect a thing.

I think you have to not snitch Francis out to Waleran in Book 1. Milius? I don't know.

I tried to hide Francis's involvement to Waleran but he said "you don't have to hide these things from me" and Phillip automatically told him the truth. Not sure how I could have prevented him from being found out. You do happen to know the option I could have selected instead?

Thanks for the reply!

Francis is alive in my timeline. I think the main thing is to refuse to have anything to do with Waleran in first book (I refused to take part in anything Francis was planning to do with the letter), which made me miss on meeting with him, but I guess this has saved Francis.

I don't think there is a way to save Milius though.

Since there is a way to keep Tom alive, I was holding onto the idea that there is also a way to save Milius :steamsad:...

Hm, I saw a playthrough on youtube that allowed me to visit the court and keep Francis alive. I tried my best to avoid telling Waleran anything but failed I guess.
Thank you for the info!

Same. I loved Milius. I wish they didnt have to die.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Thank you! I might go back just to replay it and see Francis live. I appreciate the help :')

In my latest playthrough, I gave Francis up. I didn't lie at all. Francis lived anyway. I found out he was alive during the trial at the end of the game. Considering how thoroughly I betrayed him, I would be surprised if anything you said to Waleran could actually result in Francis dying.

I think keeping Tom alive is fairly easy. Just have Tom lie to William and deny being the builder.
