this game sucks

been trying to play this game since the day it came out. 6th or 7th attempt and im just uninstalling it. no wonder this game flopped. straight up TRASH. absolute terrible game design, level design, story. Australia doesnt have canyons and for sure doesnt look like the the midwest of the usa. Every time i turn this game on i play it for liek 5 minutes and just uninstall it again. literally the definition of insanity, doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result lmfao

I feel it is one of the games which had huge potential, but supposedly due to devs being tormented by deadlines, it became pretty dull.

My points:
- The combat system is a far clunkier version of the ones of the Batman Arkham series.
- Many quality of life updates are missing: Why the f do I have to press a button to scale a ladder? Jumping is godawful.
- Lots of tedious time wasting events, like having to refill a balloon winch and the balloon itself with no petrol (aka "gas") around. Loot location in hard to access areas with forgettable loot. Many fetch quests. Can't take the dog in the car for clearing mines, etc.
- Progession is utter rubbish: I just cleared Jeet's territory and I already max-ed up and have all of these Griffa tokens and I have over 10K scrap.
- Can't say much about the story. Just arrived at Pinky's.
- Positive: The feel of the scenery is very nice with the eerie winds and all.
- In any configuration the car doesn't drive nicely or it needs a lot of skill using the boosters.
GTA has also cars with boosters which drive much smoother.
- Positive: Voice Acting, apart from Max yelling at the Chumbucket to fix things.
- Linux play and environmental awareness.
- Positive: At least after all these years, so far only minor bugs.

Overall, happy I did not pay more than 2.- (Eur/$).

game is tedious/repetitive in a bad way in terms of gameplay and content and it doesnt get better with the next areas
and without spoilers, the conclusion of the game is pretty dissapointing

best thing of the game is the price being cheap af, but its definetely not a masterpiece. easy to get bored of it

Its fun but the amount of things you need to collect is insaaaane, i am just going to finish it at this point and never replay - the cars weren't properly introduced at all imo, i finished all the combat challenges, most of the wasteland challenges, most of the car challenges but the ones that are left are so absurd it is stupid - shoot a moving car with a sniper rifle with this particular car three times. Win every single race (!) with this type of car - yeeeeah, how about no...

Still - almost 50 hours of gameplay, good enough for me...

Well, i suppose the game is not for everyone. I personally enjoy the game very much, and have replayed it more times than I can honestly remember... :MMForFun:

It is a good game but they just needed to reduce the scrap spam, introduce car-missions or something (have to drive this car or maybe you unlock cars by missions whatever), i did pretty much everything - defused all mines, reduced threat to 0 at all places, fixed up all the compounds or whatever... They went overboard with scrap locations - and i do like collecting stuff, loved doing riddler stuff in Arkham or collecting nonsense in tomb raider but it is a bit too much for me...

I am looking for some other third-person adventure after this one, i did enjoy myself.

Well, you could always try Rage... It's "kinda" similar to MM... I actually like collecting the scrap, most of the time..
