Are all the boss fights really just the same thing?
First time I fought a top dog I thought it was kind of interesting. Since then I've found out that every single one of these fights is exactly the same, and they even show up as an enemy type. I haven't progressed the story much at all, are there at least some interesting boss fights there?

It's bad enough that every top dog looks and fights almost exactly the same, but on top of that these fights aren't even interesting or challenging. The bosses have like three attacks that are easy to dodge and barely do any damage to you, and the fights drag on forever because the game just arbitrarily decides that your punches no longer count.

Yep and they all look the same and act the same way....:(
they do all seem the same, but meh didnt care much, just love exploring the wastes. hope we get another game if this makes money so they get loads of dosh to do it all right instead of just some stuff like the environment great, and the rest not so great :P

The Top Dogs, yes. But not throughout the storyline.

More like modern western game design. I've found that most non-indie western games have almost universally terrible bosses and/or just make every boss the exact same thing. That's if they bother including bosses at all.

Great boss fights still come out of Japan, thankfully.

And I've found most Indie games to be complete dog doo doo. So it's all even.
My favourite part is the separate biographies in the character screen, it's a line of exactly the same character model with a different paintjob on it, with the exact same voice actor doing the lines. I don't know why they bothered to do that.

Ok, I don't ask about numerous movesets for bosses but at least they could make them different visually! Jeez, every boss is the same!!! Only colors differ!!! This is insanely terrible design!!!

The camps are unique but sadly the bosses are copy paste, probably because they lacked the time or the funding, make no sense to have unique hand made camps and slap copy past bosses on them.

Seems like the boss fights were tacked-on or added in a hurry. Not very well thought out or integrated.
