Mad Max Game is offical prequel to Mad Max Fury Road. SPOILERS!!!

Before you read! SPOILERS!!!

It makes sense. All the pieces fit together too nice and tight.

At the begining of Mad Max Fury Road movie you see Mad Max ready to travel through the Plains of Silence.

He then loses his Interceptor to Immortan Joe's Warboys chasing him down as revenge from killing Immortan Joe's 3rd psychotic son Scabrous Scrotus. he got his interceptor back at the end of the game after he killed Scabrous Scrotus, but he lost his Magnum Opus+ Chum Bucket.

In Immortan Joe's Citadel Mad Max has flash backs of Glory (little girl in the game,same name in movie too) and Hope (mother of girl in game). The girl kept saying in the movie "why won't you help us?!", "where were you max?!, "why did you leave us MAX?!", and "You KILLED US MAX?!". Its quite obvious its glory from the game that Immortan joe's son, Scabrous Scrotus killed them, and he's having regret and feels guilty for leaving them behind to die.

Now as for Chum bucket obviously he's dead so that wouldnt interfere with the story, and he hasnt met Furiosa until later on in the movie.

So it only makes sense and its logical that the game takes place literally right before the movie.
Also at the end of the movie Mad Max disappears into the crowd for Mad Max to continue his adventure through the Plains of Silence. so makes sense.

maybe watch the first 2 movies ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and i did finish the game, and just becausei might of got something wrong, doesnt mean you can call me an idiot, like sorry for stating another point princess

Actually, Avalanche did stress on numerous occasions the game was not a tie-in with Fury Road, when addressing concerns of licensed games having a poor track record, so what I am the lenny said could be interpreted as true...

I read all and watched all interviews, what they said, they didnt really give a clear answer. Now stop disagreeing with me. IT makes more sense that the game is a prequel to the movie becuase its the exact same story lol

A couple of questions, if it's a prequel: why is Scrotus hunting Max in order to avenge his father's death, and why was Scrotus in charge of Bullet Town after the People Eater's death?

Scrotus is clearly mentioned as being in charge of Gastown, yet Joe put the People Eater in charge after capturing the Citadel.

How can those two be dead if the game is set before the film?

Also, after building up his legend and becoming recognised across the wasteland by its inhabitants, Scrotus, and Scrotus' entire force, how come none of the warboys in the film even recognise Max?

Glory also calls Max "Daddy" on the game.

And If I remember correctly, Max had a son, not a daughter.

The son's name was Sprog.

I think the comic and the game actually tell the same story.
The cool thing about Mad Max is that most of the stories about him are told by others, and in the comic book the story of Glory and her mother is told by the history man, while he teaches the children of the new citadel.

The game however is told from Max's point of view, making it a first hand experience.
The game tells the truth in all its detail, while the comic is a retelling of the story years after the actual event.

By the way, the game never tells that Scabrous Scrotus is hunting Max because of the Immortan's death. Scabrous Scrotus is the Chief warlord of Gastown, while the People Eater is it's mayor, which are 2 completely different positions. I believe the 2 of them could have been running things together for quite some time, since Immortan forged the alliances years prior, and Scrotus is already a fully grown man.
The lore clearly states that Scrotus has always been a psychotic and very flawed person with tendencies to hunt and kill for sport. Scrotus is not driven by revenge when taking on Max in the beginning. He probably wants his blood thirst quenched and the "Interceptor" with it's rare V8 engine as a trophy.
