Eastern Tunnels can't reach [my] last scrap [edited]

It's from the mission where you salvage the subway car.

It's the third to last one - there's one box you can jimmy open inside a subway car but I can't find a way to enter the subway car. It's raised off the ground a little bit: jump doesn't work, neither do explosions, or harpooning. I feel like I'm missing something obvious but can't figure out what it is.

Thanks in advance for any help. (I'm playing on PC if that makes a difference.)

I'm watching some playthrough videos now and everybody seems to cut at that point and then suddenly they're at the box?!

Connected to that subway car is another one which you can enter on foot, no jumping required. Enter it, traverse up it, and then jump down to the box.

Thanks - that one took me too long to figure out. My title was a bit confusing - it's actually the one before this inside the subway car, at the beginning of the long straight stretch towards the end of the line.

Had same problem. Finally drove car with passenger side (US cars) nest to open end of rail car and stepped out and into car to get loot.

Thanks - I never thought of doing that. It worked like a charm, rightside of the car wedged up against the opening so that Max stepped into the railcar.

Also I just learned that Max can jump veretically! Left Control on PC keyboard (space is evade), which solved another problem I had with a balloon in GutGash's territory.

Yeah, I just spent forever trying to do this and now I learn I can ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ jump vertically.
