...is it just me or is Max's iconic sawnoff ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ terrible, and weaker than the 4 barrel shotgun?

Admittedly, I have not tried it in a fist fight yet, but against cars, it just patters almost harmlessly off their armour... Where as the 4 barrel shotgun will one shot most level 1 or 2 vehicles, if you manage to shoot their fuel tanks, and blow the tyres out in a single hit on most others...

The Black on Black was also exceedingly dissapointing compared to a near fully upgraded Opus...

The only decent unlock was Max's iconic leather jacket, but even the jacket is only marginally better than the top pre-completion armour, outside of looks...

The rewards for completing the game were actually pretty dissapointing overall IMO...

I have had similar results using the iconic shotgun in car combat. Seems to just bounce off. I honestly just use it and the interceptor to give myself more of a challenge as using the magnum opus and just thunderpooning everything is really really easy.

Yep, exactly what I experienced... I'd have expected that it was at least as powerful as the 4 barrel shotgun - or even more so considering it's not cobbled together from scrap - but sacrifices 2 preloaded rounds for significantly faster overall reload times, giving it a better overall rate of fire, or something along those lines...

I once thought the same thing, but actually the double barrel isn't that bad when you use it right.

And I'm not trying to say anyone is a bad player either...

I noticed that the double barrel's biggest weakness is that it hasn't got good range compared to the quad-barrel, but if you fire at fuel tanks from a closer range then most of the time they will explode in one shot, same with car drivers and wheels.

It definitely reloads a little faster than the quad barrel, and imo it saves ammo better by being a 2 shot weapon. It's pretty effective against regular enemies too!

So it isn't that bad of a weapon, but it definitely has a range issue from what I'm seeing. And yes it is ♥♥♥♥ when fired at a car's body.

The Iconic Black Leather Jacket is nice to look at, but I got so used to seeing Max wearing a big bulletproof vest over his other jacket that I feel he's 'weaker' than he was before, even though the jacket does offer better resistance.

The Interceptor imo is one of the best cars in the game! It's very fast and has great handling both on asphalt and off-road, it's fairly tough and can ram enemies pretty good too! I prefer my Magnum Opus cuz it has more weapons to use, but the Interceptor is definitely a fast car that can compete with the Magnum Opus easily in a drag race.

Shooting at the barrels on cars, when the white indicator says you are in range and they didn't explode once. So either the range indicator is wrong or it doesn't do any damage to barrels.
Either way it seems to be completely useless while driving at least.

Yeah, it's purely for aesthetic value, unlike his jacket. His scrap shotgun is superior in every way.
