What are the real life equivalent of the cars?
I'm just wondering.. I think the Interceptor (the Wild Hunt body) is closest to a 1970s Ford Falcon, and the Furnace is a Corvette... What are the others? What kind of car is the Ripper? or the Shovelface?

THe game's characters don't feel Austrailian at all really. I'm suprised there weren't Japanese cars too. Look at original Mad Max movie too, it's filled with Japanese bikes.
THIS! should answer most of your (and my) questions:

http://www.igcd.net/game.php?id=1000010295

Perentti Coupé 'Furnace'

1973 Ford Falcon 'Wild Hunt'

1967 Ford Mustang 'Shovelface' MkI

1934 Chevrolet Master 5 Window Coupe 'Death Rattle'

1965 Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud 'Die Rolla'

1967 Pontiac GTO 'The Ripper'

Others:

1973 Ford Falcon 'Interceptor'

1968 Plymouth Barracuda 'Rammerhead'

1938 Terraplane Deluxe 'Prickles'

Volkswagen 'Kaboom Bug'

Austin A70 'Scutterbug' (& Fire Raider)

1953 Chevrolet Advance-Design 3100 'Mancannon'

1941 Chevrolet COE 'Big Chief Chariot'

1947 Chevrolet Master 'Barbacon'

1973 Chrysler Valiant Charger 'Skullbutts'

etc. pp.

Ripper looks like a Ford Galaxie 1975 (7l version) to me https://i.ytimg.com/vi/ZQT4McesGnA/maxresdefault.jpg

Don't mess it up with Galaxy lol

It's the 1970's...the cars are muscle cars...there were no Japanese muscle cars in the 70's. All the motor bikes in the early films were Kawasakis and Yamahas, mind ...the one disappointing aspect of the game is that there is no motor bikes. And there is a Datsun 240Z anyway...the first great Japanese car.

This...the first movie came out in 1979, Japanese cars weren't nearly as popular then, it was all about American muscle cars and Miller's stuck with that over the last 40 years.
