Some people are so selfish.
Water is a finite resource in the game. All these people gasping and dying of thirst, they need to understand that I'm the type of good guy hero that will perhaps avenge their deaths. Not so much the kind that will prevent their deaths. Like, by giving them some of my water. As the OP said, it's just not really a good deal...
It's a fine ethical distinction, but it's important to me.
Less so to them. It seems they're now dead.
