[FIXED] Game just will not run. - Missing DLL's
Downloaded. Installed. Run, Preparing to launch Mad Max shows up then disappears, then nothing. Try to run madmax.exe it crashes.

Have done the following:
All drivers updated.
Verified software in steam.
Deleted content and redownloaded/installed.
Reinstalled all distributables included with game.
Removed OC profile.

Specs:
FX-6200
12gb RAM
GTX 660 SLI 2X OC edition 660's
Windows 10 Pro X64

Oh, and I did not purchase the game myself. It was gifted to me from an overseas friend.

Maybe it does not support SLI?

Mite be dumb but I had that happened to me on another game a few years back and I restarted steam. Maybe give it a go?

Ok...have tried creating a new profile on Windows, still won't run.
Have disabled SLI, still wont run.

Is the release date different in Europe? I see some webpages that say Sept 4th for Europe. If it was purchased there and gifted to me in the US, do I have to wait till the 4th?

Europe here! No it seems to run fine for me and my friend here, so you can rule that out.

Unless your friend bought it from a 3rd party site with a Russian VPN (as they're usually cheeper) but i think Steam would notify you about that...

I'm out of ideas. Sorry.

Notify me of what? If he did that it wont work?

Same problem here, I try and run it from desktop icon or games menu in steam and it just looks like it quits after half a second. Even the advert from steam pops up, like when you close a game normally.

Don't quote me on this one because I haven't tried it but most 3rd party sites that sell steam keys/gifts often include an option to buy the game with a Russian VPN region lock which is usually a lot cheeper.

I don't know what happens if you try to redeem one of those outside of Russia but i'm GUESSING Steam would notify you that you were trying to redeem a region locked code instead of crashing.

Without going too far in the weeds, pricing is different on steam in different markets. Games can be cheaper or have different content based on the region they were bought in. These are known as "region locked" if you try to activate a key that does not match with the region you are in steam can and will take actions against your account. Now it's never happened to me but I understand that the potential punishments range from simply removing the game to full on locking the account. That being said. I doubt the issue you are having is due to a region locked key.

Start with basic stuff. Restart your pc, try to run steam as admin, try to run madmax.exe directly from the steam file as admin.

All about singeling out variables until you find the error bra.

You should try what the guy above me wrote, seems like a clever grape.

Have tried all those things. running direct file crashes immediately with an error code of:

The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click on to close the application.

When i run it from Steam, it shows Preparing to, then just nothing...no error notification....nothing...

Only antivirus I'm running is Windows 10 included software.
