Time Bomb AI Unbeatable

Anyone been trying out the Time Bomb races and having the AI just instant kill you constantly as the boom buggy. If you try to side ram em, you blow up. If you dodge them you can't make the time. If you get tapped and start to spin out, like 5-7 of them come out of nowhere and end you. Everything I've tried has failed, from being on the red road the entire time to just saying screw this and driving in a straight line for the goal.

Its utterlly frustrating and I am not sure if I am missing something important or not on why this is so impossible for me.

Is that the one that you have a bomb under your car and you race to a checkpoint before the timer goes off? I did my first one today since I usually don't care for those type of missions but I passed it the first time. I just ignore the other cars best I can. Use your nitrous constantly and leave them in the dust. I stayed on the road most of the time because you go faster on it.

what nitro? to unlock the enemy cars I think you have to use that certain car and practically all of them do not have nitro.

No seriously just do it.
If they hit you, you blow up. If you hit them first, they take damages and you don't.

Seriously hard, just got through it. Instantly off the start go to the right and head straight for the finish line. I kept hitting the brake as the other cars got close and then took off again. Once you get a little farther jump on the blood road (it's faster and you tend to pull away) and just avoid being hit.

in boom buggy, the spacebar activates the fuse. you bail out(hopefully) and it goes boom. so try to avoid mushin da spacebar while using the boom buggy for races

Just drive either straight or on the red roads and avoid any front and back hit. When they approach by the flank spam side-ram before they do. If you are the one hitting bombs don't go off. Then it's just a regular race.

Use your shotgun in the races it helps so much.

The boom buggy is impossible because if you take one hit you blow up since it has explody barrels strapped all over it. I used the spike car and although incredibly infuriating I got it on like my 6th try or so. I just got lucky and started a b-line towards the finish and no other cars could catch me which seems pretty random because every time before that they wouldn't stay off me the whole time. And this is even without my knowledge of how to side swipe which I missed early on in the game but now know of. So far the races are the worst part of the game because they can require multiple retries for one single reason: getting side swiped out of the race early by another car. If that happens I just hit R to bail out and retry.

Yup, trying it for like 10th time now to no avail. Did you manage to do it?

What about the other one? The one with explosives? That one is impossible.

Sorry that's the one I was talking about. I think anyway. You mean the race where you can select either the dumb car with explosives all over it or the spikey car?

Yeah, just shotgun everyone. These are the most annoying deathraces because of infinitely spawning enemies and the amount of sheer luck involved
