Stuttering and a possible fix for those affected.
My game has stuttered since launch. My frame rate varies between 80 - 120 fps and a few dips into the 70 fps range. So I went about the process of figuring out what is causing the stuttering.

First thing I disabled was Raptr / AMD Gaming Evolved app. Didn't fix it. Next I shutdown MSI Afterburner. No dice. Disabled the Steam Beta client and reverted back to the standard client. No fix. Disabled the Steam overlay. Still stuttering.

So then I enabled the Steam overlay again and noticed that I had the Steam FPS counter enabled. Disabled that and it fixed my stuttering! Zero stuttering now! Finally I can play the game.

Next thing I did was enable MSI Afterburner and no stuttering. I do not have the overlay enabled in MSI Afterburner though. Next thing I did was enable the automatic video capture in Raptr. My game hitches a little bit, but nothing game breaking. Exiting Raptr completely fixes it.

So in short if your game is stuttering try to disable the Steam FPS overlay first. With it enabled my game ran like I was on the beach staring out across the ocean and watching the waves crash against the shore every half second. I literally almost threw up.

Hope this helps someone else experiencing these issues. Maybe Valve someone can ask Valve to put in an option to enable the Steam FPS overlay only on certain games? I really like it even though it fought hard with Mad Max.

Now can someone figure out how to take the resolution from 1920 x 1080 50Hz to 1920 x 1080 120Hz? Every time that I enable 120Hz it reverts back to 50hz.

AMD FX-9370

Game is running off a couple of 2TB HD's in Raid 0. My dedicated Steam drive.

My buddy with a GTX 970 had the same issue. So it's not an AMD or Nvidia issue. ;)

Thank goodness this thread has more helpful responses other than "It's your rig" or "I have no problems at all. So it definitely is YOU." :-)

I have same horrible stuttering ... a lag spike sorta` on every 3 seconds, tried every possible solution that I could try but not the newest nVidia drivers, because when install them the windows desktop manger in services.msc stop working so stuck with 352.86 for now.

But I doubt it is the drivers.

Cut off VSYNC and try playing the game.
