upgrading chumbucket (mechanic) how?
I just can't seem to find out how to upgrade him.. probably an easy way i'm missing. thanks for helping!

By upgrade I assume you mean improve his repair speed? You can upgrade his wrench in the garage, though you need to do a mission to get it first.

It was said before, learn to read. You have to do a mission quest first, then you can upgrade him under "Garage" in your "Menu".

You have to get to Friahs stronghold first, chum will mention he has some parts stashed near Gastown. Run in, beat up maybe 8 scavangers, grab a sacred wrench and it will unlock.

No, you can get to Friah's right after breaking through the Maw into the northern half of the map, though I did take some time and got some upgrades first becasue the enemies there are a little tougher.

I went to friahs and chum talked but I cant tell which mission is the chumbucket mission? does it appear on the map?

Yeah, should have the quest "As The Wrench Turns", blue dot, just barely south-west of Gastown. Head toward Gastown and he'll say something like "There's a faster way saint, to the right, down in the fields" (<don't remember 100% what he said, just that it was directions and the right (maybe he said west) was mentioned)

What about armouring him up? I've seen him wearing other gear around the place, but never explained.
