Fuel is Pointless

I don't understand the reason for fuel. It's so incredibly common that it's damn near impossible to run out of fuel unless you are like intentionally trying to.

I understand the reason for including it in a Mad Max game, but at least offer us an option to up the difficulty and actually make fuel scarce.

seriously? you did notice that certain sections is at the bottom of the ocean that has dried up right? And there is oil pumping stations with in the game. You did see all that, right?

I have found that once you use one of the repenishing gas cans at a camp to blow up a door, you cant use it on the car, but i have found a location without the glitch.


It is basically the first place where you get a gas can in the game, you stop off there to get the can you use to blow open the door to the graveyard where you get your first body for the magnum opus. i go there every time i use my stored gas can cause i know that there i will get a full can every time, even at those deth runs the fuel cans are a hit and miss.

I disagree. Fuel is incredibly difficult to find but only when you need two balloons to 100% the area and they both need fuel, so you find some fuel cans only to realize they have three freaking drops in them, so you have to go searching for more fuel cans.

ANY OTHER TIME YOU FIND FULL CANS, except when you need them to refuel something like a stupid balloon. Other than that, fuel is incredibly common and generally used as a source of killing enemies rather than fueling vehicles.

Maybe it is on how your playing? That is like saying, you found this big stash of ammo, so you load up your gun, and leave the rest behind. You would do this? I always keep a full can of fuel in the car for emergencies. Even if it means going back to a location that I know for a fact from refills to the car have "FULL CANS"...

I can not believe I am explaining this. Maybe we can get the devs to add a gas station DLC for you..

you must not use your burners at all. cause I am maxed the hell out and go thru my gas crazy fast. blowing up one vehicle takes half a tank dude. Nah man I dont agree with you. Use your burners man

You can use fuel to destroy gates, you can blow up your enemies.
You need to refuel generator tanks or air baloons.

So after all it's not pointless.

Do you need it for your car? Mostly not. XD
After you unlocked the refuel station at any stronghold you won't run out of it.

Many people forget how long it takes to empty the tank of a car, the fuel isn't rare in Mad Max universe, water, food and ammonition are rare, there are many oil pumps that would probably last for centuries to dry up due to little population.

And no for a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ another survival game, play Rust or DayZ if you like to micromanage things and babysit your character, or even go out and enjoy your life since its the biggest survival.

never enjoyed dayz or rust at all and I love madmax. Not one game feels or plays the same. But, Im glad that none of our opinions would matter at all when it comes to what's going to happen to the next mad max. All I know is that mad max is a survivor game and if they make one there's no other choice but to get another survivor game dont matter if you're tired of them and to be honest I welcome it. Cause the fighting and gameplay is awesome. Dayz and rust are shooters mad max aint. Mad Max does bring a lot of things that dont exist on the others. With that Im out. Unsubed

Lol yeah, that's why I use the flamethrower a bit overzealously, so I can refuel often!
But it also leads to moments of 'Oh snap, I need fuel right now!', which is cool.

Especially since I 'forget' to bring a can with me, one time I had to walk quite a bit,
before I finally stumbled upon a fuel can, but hey that's fun for me! Being immersed!
