Ammunition

I am always out of ammo :( I collect everything i can but a rarely have more than 3 shots for my shotgun. Is there any trick to find/get more ammo or is it intended to be always short of rounds?

You can use some of Max's upgrades to increase the amount of ammo he finds, but the game intentionally limts ammo. I guess due to limited resources in the wasteland.

The trick is to consider your shotgun as a last resort type weapon. In a post-apocalyptic environment, where there is practically ZERO industrial activity, each buckshot shell you find has to be considered the LAST shell you will ever find. With this in mind, technically you can never run out of ammo.

It's intended to be limited in ammo. That's why you can't carry 100+ rounds.

Okay :D I alwys try to have some shots for situations where the shotgun is the last possibility to survive. I usually take out war criers with the shotgun as I dont know any other possibility to kill them.

There's always a mechanism close to them, you can use the jimmy bar to break it and they drop down to their death or you can throw a lit jerry can under them, that does the trick too.

Do the Armory upgrade for Stronghold. It will refill every ammunition for you even on Magnum to full. It has a cooldown, about 30 minute for each refill on each Stronghold. So if you completed an Armory project more than 1 Stronghold, you can jump around them to replenish yourself for Convoy assault or Camp assault.
