Why the character isn't Mel Gibson

I'd love to play the game with a character model of himself to feel like in the first two movies but instead there's a random character that looks nothing like him, so why would they do that? Mad Max isn't Mad Max without Mel.

he is basically an american, not australian in any way, he's just actor who did great job at fooling people. so good that everyone thinks he's austrialian when he is not.

The character in the game reminds me of the dude who played Spartacus but died after the first season. I always thoght he would have made a good Mad Max so I'm good with it.

What makes you think he was trying to fool anybody? He had lived in Australia for years, he worked in Australia, he sounded Australian - he just happened to be an American actor in Australia at the time the first movie released, and people just assumed he was Australian.

As for his disappearing from the franchise, as much as I like the new film, Tom Hardy is absolutely no Mel Gibson, and it's hardly Gibson's fault that the third film wasn't as good as the others.

but i got tired as the series went on

thunderdome is where movie franchises go do die

then after braveheart he lost his mind. perhaps after doing mad max for so many years it left him scared from having to play the role.

buy the time the passion of christ and apocalypto came out it was well past his expiration date and time to retire the old geezer

Lol I couldn't care less about Batman, I don't even know why it's so popular now, but Mel Gibson is who made the first two movies what they are, I agree the 3rd was destinated to kids and it ruined the mature ambient set by the first two, but yeah I guess people like me will have to play the game anyways because it looks fun.

I dont like or dislike him but I do enjoy the majority of his movies,I thought apocalypto was good and was also looking forward to his viking movie which sadly never got made,
