Is This Just Cause 3 Engine
I keep hearing this is Avalanche new engine. So does this mean this is Just Causde 3 engine.

Sure its not as open as just cause 3, or explosions, or water, ocean, green forests. But is this just causes 3 engine. And if I play this on max settings. Will I be able to run just causes 3 on it.

No one knows because it's an in house engine. I suppose we will have to wait and see when they release Just Cause 3.

I don't know but gameplay is so smooth.

My thought better to turn Motion Blur off...it cause silly blur.

I just figure. There not going to create two totally different engines.
They said Mad Max used a modified version of the Just Cause 2 engine. Same as Just Cause 3. Neither game uses a totally new from the ground up engine...

I did read in a preview in a magazine it is same engine as Just Cause 3. The game is so well done. I don't have 4k but can play it maxed out in 1440p and it sits around 80-100 fps. extremely well optimised for single GPU's. I haven't even overclocked my 980 beyond factory for this game.
You get so used to ordinary looking PC games , especially ones that are mutiplatform but the graphics in this absolutely destroy Arkham Knight at least so far pre the final version we are meant to be getting. Everything is just so sharp and detailed and the sound is so meaty.
After reading such mediocre reviews i got a pleasant surprise playing this.
I did gather most of the reviews are based on console version though and not PC.

I don´t bother .. Unreal & Source are "nearly" the same (depends on the game dev and the pimp up) engine for ages.

You may need glasses mate lol I hope you are joking :P
To the OP... just because you can run Mad Max on ultra, doesn't mean you'll be able to run Just Cause 3 at same settingvand get the same performance. Just Cause is populated with people, land/sea/air vehichles, lush trees, water physics and way more physics for your gpu and cpu to calculate.

The answer is: No.

It honestly feels nothing like JC2, and everything like Shadow of Mordor.

This feels a lot better than JC2, that game was glunky and half the time my grappling hook wouldn't want to do what I wanted it to, not to mention the worst voice acting ever.

SoM used Monolith's Lithtech engine, Mad Max uses Avalanche's Avalanche Engine 2.0.

The best way to tell is to look at the actual game files.

Just Cause 1, Just Cause 2, and Mad Max all share the same file structure. So it's safe to say it is the Avalanche Engine and it has been upgraded HEAVILY over time.

The biggest difference I can see with Mad Max is that it's a 64-bit game, and I assume Just Cause 3 will also be the same.

We also have to remember that Just Cause 3 will have A LOT more water, so that might increase performance but also decrease game size.

Hopefully JC3 will be a lot less linear.

I really enjoy this game, not saying anything bad about it. The linearity of camps and such works for this game; they are meant to be heavily fortified, afterall, so only a few ways in could exist.

I also hope any mini bosses aren't the same exact thing and that everyone you talk to is the same 3 models and 1 animation lol
Pretty sure Max Mad uses a V6 engine and you get a V8 engine at the end of the game
