Driving wheel on the rightside?

Ok here is something interesting I noticed. Cars in game have their driving wheel on the rightside? It's a small thing but I found it curious. The game takes place in post-apocalyptic America yet the cars seem the be made for the UK.

Anyone know why? Is Avalanche British and they just tought it natural or is there a Mad Max Lore reason as to why?

Mad Max is post apocalyptic AUSTRALIA. Cars in Australia have the steering wheel on the right side.

it takes only a few seconds to look at a clip from the original movie. they are right handed and the movie/game of course was based on post apocalyptic Austrailia.
