It just had a goal, and the challenge was to just use your own path, no boundaires. Although all of the AI only split to 2 different roads, so I was the only one that raced offroad.
Timed mini-games. Examples would be those chases for songs in AC: Black Flag.
Vantage points. Climb these to expose more of the map a la AC (you can blame AC for a lot of these actually!), Far Cry 3 and 4 etc.
Activities!! Yes, gameplay in an open world game has been reduced to a number of activiites dotted across the open map.
Just Cause 3 will be no different in this regard. It will have all of these I guarantee it so I can see why some have called this game Mordor with cars because that game also has some of these gameplay elements. They won't break the mold for fear of the game not selling.
Do these become more frustrating in the later points of the game or something? (I'm only in Gutgash's territory right now.)
Another way is to get a heavier car.
Problem is that when you choose the car at the start, YOU HAVE NO ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ CLUE WHICH IS WHICH.
As for the enemies ganging up on you, they are easily dispatched with the shotgun, especially since you start at their backs and most will have their gas tanks exposed.
- Not being able to choose a different car if you lose a race
- Not seeing the stats of other cars
- Not being able to fast travel with other vehicles. Clearing up minefields is a damn chore.
- Not being able to store a melee weapon in the car.
- Not having a minimap in the damn strongholds, to see where the hell the project sites are located. - Not being able to run in the damn strongholds
- Really small storage space for ammo. I mean come on the max is 7 shells? Really?
- Not being able to fast travel to liberated camps, this artificially increasing the length of the game with boring driving
1. You don't need the buggy to find them, it's just easier. They will appear if you are near enough to them.
2. You can find the mines in them without the buggy, you just need to be "lucky" enough to drive over them. I've found 1 that way but never found all three. It's surprisingly hard to find the mines!
1. Fully upgraded and buy all Magnum part.
2. Use Arcangel on those race.
3. ?????.
4. Harpoon the ♥♥♥♥ out of them.
My advice is just kill all the other racers. You don't get penalized for it and eventually ammo will not be an issue. At least that way you can focus on driving and some of the races have short cuts.
Also don't worry too much about Griffa tokens either. You will get enough to fully upgrade Max from other things. Just worry about finishing and unloacking the special vehicles if you're trying to 100%
And I ONLY race if the story requires it...Mario Cart sucks. lol
