Do this if you experience slows downs like I did.

What I did to get it too run smooth?

1) thing I did was Disabled my antivirus program, because you don't need it on when your gaming.. Just remember to turn it on again after gaming if your going to surf the net.

2) thing I did was go into Offline mode with Steam, another calprit of slow downs.

3) thing I did was goto Windows Control Panel - System - Advanced system settings - Performance button - choose Adjust For Best Performance.

(This will make Windows work alot faster at the cost of making Fonts, UI, etc no longer look beautiful and crisp.)

4) On to In-game - I set everything in-game on VERY HIGH any lower settings and the game acts up and slows down for some reason ( for me at least) on crucial parts like driving and fighting even running. Full screen mode, haven't tested Borderless yet.

5) My Geforce GTX 750 Video card set to Performance not Quality. (game still looks amazing)

And thats pretty much it, I don't have any background programs on except Steam offline mode, my antivirus is disabled until I'm done gaming, don't need system Tray programs on to play besides Steam offline mode.

Now before I did all this, my game would run kinda good but not smooth and fast, I would get slow downs in places and slow fights, running slow and I mean we are talking turtle slow speed slow downs even when the sun moves. After I have done and the things I've mentioned above I don't have any of these problems no more, but I do have to do all what I mentioned above again but its a small price in order to play fast and smooth on Mad Max on this machine at least.

Now this setup is mainly for people running Windows 7 64 who experience slows downs when playing, I can't garantee that this will work with everyone or other system OS's, but give it a try. you can always revert back the settings if it doesn't work for you.

This has not been tested with Windows 8 or 10 so you know, I have Windows 7 64 Ultimate.
But I really Hope this helps some of my fellow low end duo-core system users. :)

It worked for me, hopefully it works for you too.

Good Luck!

These settings are mainly for those who want to play at very high game settings with a high resolution in duo core systems. :)

why the hell do you keep buying newly released games to play on that pos of a pc? you have games in your library that I know damn well will stutter and run like crap on an old dual core cpu. and that 1gb video card will certainly not cut it in some games either. upgrade your ♥♥♥♥ instead of constantly buying new games that that not always run right.

750's fine for playing on a small screen (1600/900) and for him "smooth" is probably around 25-30 fps.
I said the 1gb of vram would be a problem in some games and it is. and an old dual core cpu from 2009 will flat out hitch in some of the games he has. heck I tried to test this game on two of my 4770k cores which would run rings around his cpu and even that hitch pretty bad in spots. and this game is not even cpu intensive like some of the games he has. it just boggles my mind someone buys newly released games like GTA V and Arkham Knight but cant upgrade their pc to have decent hardware to play them.

This made me lol.
I play Mad Max 1600x1200 FYI that's DxDiag reading my second monitor, not the monitor I play on. No studders no nothing just smooth before all the research I did for my PC, yes it gave me problems but not anymore. And no I play all these games without issue because I do reseach which enables me to play these games without loosing much loss of visuals and gameplay.

Just worry about yourself and your own PC. I did this thread to help people not to be scolded because I'm not using HIGH DETAIL on every game or have a CPU higher then Duocore, I don't need those things to enjoy a game, you might but not me..

The Only game on my list that hasn't ran good at all no matter what I did was Batman Arkham Knight which everyone knows was not properly optimized for PC. Yea that game only. believe it or not.

Nice job being toxic, fellers - Shining examples of the PC master race.

Miami_BaT, I'd start with the setting suggested by GeForce experience - Push the slider towards performances will you get a visual/performance ratio you're happy with.

Of course there's also the manual way of setting which you're asking for, which is something outside a few settings only you will find with gold old fasion trial and error.

Traditionally the things that affect performance in games are shadows, shaders, and bluring, though Mad Max is optimised for some of these - At the very least start with buggering off SSAO and blur (the pair look crap to begin with), slide eveything else back to basic with the exception of Geometric Detail, Texture Detail, and Decals, which can stay on max.

From there it's a case of testing whats palitable to you from the aformentioned visual/performance ratio you're happy with.

EDIT: You're system isn't too bad, even for the age; Just get yourself a Phenom II x4 and you're laughing (or even x6 if you nab a bargain and your mobo supports it.)

True I can do all that and thanks but the way I'm doing it now runs the game flawlessly on VERY HIGH settings also high resolution, no skips, no studders, no bothers..Just great gameplay. The only real thing I have to do is disable antivirus and go offline mode with steam, I can live without Windows font and stuff being crisp and in full glory, it's no big deal I don't mind it at all, I do plan on upgrading very soon anways.

Just found it funny that my Dad has a secret Steam account and was scolding me for buying games with my own money and playing games on a somewhat low end system. lol

you post in a public forum so I will comment as I see fit. you are crazy for buying brand new games to play on a 6 year old dual core cpu. again I know damn well some of your games play like ♥♥♥♥. and you made very poor choice buying a 1gb version of the 750. and who the hell wants to play modern games on a 4:3 screen? you are missing out on nearly 1/3 of the game's intended fov or either you end up with black bars. either way that is crappy way of playing modern games that are intended for widescreen.

Listen, one who seems to like to start ♥♥♥♥. I never said you couldn't comment, I said not to worry about what I do with my money and my system. SO, I'm crazy for buying games with a low end pc, big whoopie!? Since when is that your concern.. At some point I will be upgrading, yes upgrading because thats what people do eventually when they can, The whole point thats hard to get in that starting ♥♥♥♥ mind of yours is I can still play my games, I can enjoy games I buy, I can still play my games on my ♥♥♥♥ PC, deal with it.

DEAL WITH IT. nuff said. Now you may keep talking to yourself in this thread, I'm done with you. Bye. :)

buddy don't be so rude... i do the same thing and i run cs go at 100 fps
but any other games with GOOD graphics are terrible!!! vr chat is the game im working on right now ( i didn't make the game, im working on getting better fps on it) so that just proves that you don't need a good pc to play games

HERES A TIP: turn down the resolution as much as possible if you REALLY DONT CARE about the graphics i suggest 1280 by 720
