No, you get killed by storm because it is not part of the game that you drive in the BIG NOTHING (at least not ATM, maybe in future with a DLC or what ever) and you can only do this using a trainer but there is nothing there
I get what the guys saying though, why make it procedurally generated if it's just gunna instat gib you?
Seems like it would not be that hard to make it loop. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Mario 64 had an endless staircase, how hard is it do you think to make it like you're going over the salt flats for 160 days....
some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ went tot he edge of minecraft... it's a thing people do... minecraaft WAY harder to generate and that's with java... excuse here is.... it's a AAA game... they just do what's needed????
one day you'll get the game you deserve....
we'll call it desert sim... just a big open flat plain like in minecraft plainsworld, and you can drive forever... hoping for the big green place .... best of luck.
...
hell I wanna get unity and just make a game like that, I bet there is a bunch of idiots like you that would play it too...
:D
Here is what John Fuller, the senior producer at Avalanche said:
http://www.techtimes.com/articles/80205/20150828/mad-max-game-map-limit-will-run-1080p.htm
"There are no finite limits to the map... in other words, there is no 'one side'. You can continue driving into The Big Nothing until you get bored or killed,"
Well there are finite limits as one person took a screenshot of the end of the world. But in the second part notice that he says you can just keep driving until you get bored or killed. Well, technically speaking you can just keep driving until you get killed but as others pointed out its only about 30 seconds.
Here's another John Fuller quote:
http://pressa2join.com/john-fuller-talks-everything-mad-max/
"The world does not have hard boundaries so in theory you can keep driving in a certain direction, although in practice it will get too treacherous to survive (if the tedium of the uninhabited Big Nothing doesn’t kill you first)."
Yes, the world has no hard boundaries, in theory. So again it tries to allude to the prospect of this huge open expanse that may never end but then reigns it all in by saying the Big Nothing can kill you.
As I have said before you need to read between the lines and see if they have given themselves some wiggle room. You have to analyse and digest not only what they say but also how they say it and often more importantly what they don't say.
Lalelulilo cover up.

What really gets me is if they had this tech for a procedurally generated landscape, how amazing would it be to have a mode where you are doing a convoy type mission where you are chased by an endless amount of baddies along an infinate unpredictable road. Or even a certain distance, like 'get your truck to this place 10k away' and it's a differnt road every time, and maybe you get some friendly AI cars as backup or something, the best bit of this game is the convoys and they are woefully underused. They are also the only time the game genuninely feels like the movies.
