It says minimum 6 gig ram so I doubt it but again if you have a clean pc no junk running in the background you might be able to run it on low.....no promises

I play with 4K all maxed out and Mad Max uses max 1,5 GB RAM so depending on how much RAM your OS and all running tasks are using while you play Mad Max, it should be possible

whatever you do, clos Chrome. that beast eats up 5 to 15 FPS depending on the amount of tabs and the game running.

Also, changing my Win7 visual style to simple helps a bit

You must be referring to vram where it indeed uses 1,5-2gb tops, maxed out at 1080p game uses about 4,6 gb system ram

To OP, I'm not 100% sure it'll work with just 4gb, I tried various settings but it seems ram use stays over 4gb no matter what.... So I'd somehow try it before buying it.

No, I'm refering to RAM not VRAM. madmax.exe is using 1,3GB (according to W10 Task Manager) while I play and I'm playing for hours now. With 4K and all maxed, it is using ATM 3GB VRAM from the Titan X

well, MSI Afterburner monitor is marking about 4,5gb system ram usage, I'd highly doubt Mad Max uses less than 2gb of ram despite how well optimized the game is, but who knows

Why not? The Witcher 3 with all maxed out @2K + mods uses 2,7GB RAM (here) so it is very unlikely that your Afterburner Stats are correct (or only refering to Mad Mad task alone).

yup, checked it right now, my bad, probably my readings show total usage, surprised game uses that little RAM. Anyway, depending on the OS and subprocesses running I'd at least try the game before buying it (maybe OP has a friend that owns it or something)

Let me say this:

The PC running my copy is a Vista 64, 4GB and run the game MAXed out with all bells and wistles. I can even alt+tab, open a search window, surf, alt+tab back into game, not a single glitch.

And VRAM usage seems to be around the same it is on every other game out there:
I could get it to peak at 1,7GB after messing aound a bit. Fast travel a lot around the map, stole a car, driving like mad...
