I'd give you my 60 hr save but I haven't made it that far. I don't understand how folks are getting through all the content so dang fast. Heck I'm halfway hurrying because the game is so dang long.

I recommend, with all games, turn off cloud sync and backup your saves once a day. Takes less than a minute.

Mad Max saves are here:

I have just been changing save slots every few hours of game play, so I have 10 saves spread across dozens of hours of play. But I guess there could still be some catastrophic failure causing me to lose them all.

Here is my latest save http://www.filedropper.com/madmax50percentcompletion

This is tangentially related; I successfully beat the story and all wasteland missions, but I don't want to deal with all of the camps and scarecrows and such, so I've downloaded a friend's 100% completed save file (he's more patient than I). However, even though I've turned off cloud sync for this game and moved all of MY save files to the desktop, when I click "resume game" on the main menu, it doesn't load the 100% file, it loads MY save, that doesn't exist in either save location. Can anyone help?

probably because you load the autosave, when you choose resume. did you try to manually load your friend's savegame?

what did you do first? resume or manually load? if you resumed first, maybe you loaded your autosave and then overwrote your friend's file with this autosave. try to put your friend's file in the savegame folder again and then load it manually again (without resuming first).

OR turn on clound sync again. save your savegame to another slot, then delete the slot ingame, where you want to put your friend's file. exit game and wait till cloud sync also changed the slot. put your friend's file in the savegame folder. start game (dont load or resume) and exit again. wait till cloud sync loads the new file to the cloud. then start game again and load the savegame of your friend.
