V6 vs V8?

I just got the V8 installed in the Opus, and it sounds like ♥♥♥♥ compared to the V6 why is that? I was all pumped to hear the V8 just to hear a boring ass sounding engine anyone else?

I've got everything possible to make the car go as fast as it can (including 2x skull speed buffs) and it still isn't that much quicker than the v6. All I've got left is a few scavenger sites and a race or two. I was expecting that 'white line' v8 fury kind of speed but it was only marginally better, was pretty disappointed. I hope this gets sorted out along with the nitro - it needs to be active for 2 or 3 seconds not just a quick shot, that's not how Max rolled. Hopefully they'll do DLC and include trucks as well, this game is good but has a lot of room for improvement in many ways.

Yeah I think it might be glitched. It doesn't have a start up sound for me. Like when Max gets in the Opus and smoke shoots out of the exhaust, the car just sounds like it's idling.

The sound of the exhaust would just be a function of your exhaust, not the engine. If you have a larger engine putting out more exhaust gas it would still be limited by the diameter of the exhaust pipes. If that's not a limiting factor, then you'd expect a lower note, I would think.
