In terms of length, Fallout 4 has far more ways of playing and replaying and so on. But Max Max is an amazing experience.
DLC limitations. Have wife etc...
Just what i would do.
The storyline in Mad Max is more satisfying for the initial hours of play. You have a clear indication of what you need to do, and you get to do it, while boming around in a pretty nice car. It's one of the more enjoyable ways to fall into your game for 60 hours or so that's come out this year.
Fallout on the other hand, might swallow you whole for a couple of hundred hours, as you play though, install some mods, play some more, wait for the CK, install more mods, play through again, install CK build additional mission mods, dlc releases, play though again, etc. etc.
Mad Max released with a good solid experience, and a clearly defined beginning and end.
Fallout games, with their robust mod support have a beginning, and really have no end.
I have 60ish hours in on Mad Max, and I've seen what I wanted to see.
I have 180ish hours on Fallout New Vegas, and I might play it again in 2016 with a new set of mods.
Get Mad Max now, and enjoy the holidays. Get Fallout in spring 2016, and enjoy 2016.
Installing.
Crying for that Mod. :D
