Random people asking for water

While driving aroudn the wasteland a group of people will ask you for water, if you give them water they usualy take half of what you have with no rewards so, what's the point in even giving them water?

Most times they give you a map location for loot, open your map afterwards and there are 'tokens' for giving them water, first one's 5? in each area I think.

Oh I dont remember seeing any rewards for giving them water ever. I'll have to try to pay closer attention, hopefully its not a bug ruining my free loot !

they will look in the direction of something interesting.

You get an achievement for doing it the first time, didnt realise they look in the direction of something interesting. Will look out for that!

If you have cleared an area or finished the project in the stronghold that gives the scavenging locations they will stop giving you info for water and the water will be wasted this is what i found from my experience anyway.

They give you 50 scrap if you already have the Survey Crew.

I usually give them the water then punch em in the face. Makes me feel better for the wasted water.

If you manage to run the entire group over in one pass it flashes a little food icon (fork).

At first I was giving them water but after 40 hours in I just run em over. I thought one of them dropped a can of food as the fork icon thing came up. But when I went to go check to see what they had, there was nothing. I think it might be a little joke from the developer (i.e. if you run em over the food icon appears.. like saying "You bastard!")
