Im at the "Burning Mound" and it says scout area. Ive walked and driven around and nothing happens.. a few guys attacked me.. what am i looking for

dont know the quest name so not sure how to look it up

If it's dark you should see the flame in your binoculars from where the viewing point is, if it's not dark enough you'll see nothing, you should be at a small lookout point with a round fire and a timber rail. The marker on your map will change to the camp if you've got it right.

Yeah, at night, look for the flame pillar in your binoculars.

This mission is only active at night. When is it officially night? When you get out of the M.O. and your flashlight comes on by itself. It must also be night to extinguish the flame in the center of the compound to finish the mission.

I think they figured it out sometime during the last 7 or so years.
