How I envision War Rig DLC
I may not have completed this game yet, but I've read that the wasteland does not repopulate after completing it. Convoys don't respawn, and camps stay captured. While this is cool to give you a feel of making a difference in the world, i feel it would add more replayability to keep things interesting with respawning enemies. I also feel that a few big things are missing from this otherwise excellent game, and they could be added with DLC. This is how I envision the first DLC pack for this game. Please take some time to read it and tell me your thoughts.

Mad Max War Rig DLC

This DLC would coincide with a patch that would include the option to repopulate the wasteland. All camps would be repopulated, all convoys would return, and all scarecrows, snipers, and minefields would be replaced. Each territory's threat level would be reset to 5, and patrols would resume. This would not affect the progress of the Magnum Opus.

-WAR RIGS-
The DLC would introduce several new elements to the wasteland, including War Rigs, bikes, and new weaponry. Convoys now have a chance to spawn with a War Rig. The player can attempt to attack the convoy, though this is a high difficulty objective, as the war boys will stop at nothing to protect the rig.

A new element to the Magnum Opus is the ability to let Chum Bucket drive for you, while you attempt to board the rig, if you choose. He will do his best to hold his own against the pursuit vehicles, and follow the rig along the convoy route. Taking this option gives you a chance to capture the rig and add it to your collection. The other option is to just destroy it, though it is heavily armored, and the rig can call for more support via flares.

The rigs defenses include several war boys that will throw thunder sticks at your vehicle, flame throwers at the back, and a mounted 50. cal machine gun, that fires in short bursts.
When boarded, war boys will attempt to fight you to prevent you from reaching the driver. This will be standard on-foot combat affair. Once you reach the driver seat, a short QTE will have you use the crowbar to pop the top lid, allowing you to then blast the driver, and take control. However, you're not out of the woods just yet. To fully secure the War Rig, you must destroy any remaining pursuit vehicles, and return it to a stronghold. Once completed, you will then have a drivable War Rig. It's use comes from a new mission type that will randomly appear at a stronghold, called Supply Run.

Once you own a war rig, the stronghold leader you return it to (Jeet, Gutgash, Pink Eye, etc.) will comment on how impressed they are, which will lead to a cutscene, where they describe to Max that they could use this to get supplies to other strongholds. However, due to low supplies as it is, you will not have any support. Just you and the rig. Supply Run would be the most difficult mission in Mad Max. Once you depart, you become a moving target, as war boys continue to spawn and attempt to destroy the rig, whether they slam into with their vehicles, or board it.

If they board, Max can tell Chum Bucket(or a random stronghold settler that came with you) to take the wheel. The NPC driving will now take a coded direct route to the designated stronghold. Once again, this becomes standard on-foot combat to defend the rig. War boys won't continuously board the rig, giving the player a reason to return to the wheel. Once you arrive at the designated stronghold(which will be selected randomly), you will have completed the Supply Run, earning max health, water, fuel, and a good amount of scrap.

-BIKES-
Several bikes will be added to the wasteland. War boys may also be found riding them during patrols, or in convoys. Bikes have an advantage in speed, but lack integrity. It will be a gamble to use them, as they can be very easily destroyed. Max can use his shotgun or newly acquired pistol while riding them as well.

-WEAPONRY-
Max will have a new pistol at his disposal. It is not as strong as the shotgun, but has a higher fire rate. The pistol is useful for quick shots at war boys, or boarders while in a vehicle. Max can also now store an acquired melee weapon in the back of the Magnum Opus. When a melee weapon is stored, its integrity is returned to full for the next encounter.

This would be a purchasable DLC, which I feel would be fair, as this would add a lot of replayability to the game, especially with continuous Supply Run missions. A price of either $30 or $40 maybe?
I would love to see your thoughts. Thanks for your time.

Sounds like a great idea, perhaps Chumbucket could also man weaponry on the war-rig? The pistol sounds like a cool new feature too. Supply Run missions would be a great way to utilise the war-rigs. Heck, i would be happy with anything as long as it adds more content to this great game! The only thing i would have to critisize is the price, perhaps more like $10 to $15 dollars? Since one can buy the base game for around $30. Great ideas man!

Well, I'm in favour. Anything that gives a reason to keep playing after the ending is A-OK with me.

Yeah Chumbucket, or another stronghold settler, could man the 50. cal. Using it would be like using any of the Magnum Opus weapons, scrolling through the list of the flame throwers, 50. cal, and your own weapons. Right clicking would go into the focus slow motion effect, allowing you to quickly aim and tear apart pursuing vehicles, which I imagine would never not be satisfying.
And yeah, I suppose I put the price too high. That is more of a full on expansion, like story missions and such. I would say max price would be $20.

That is the height of stupidity.. :steamsad: sry but i think so.. :p

They made a great game worthy of all praise, but they have so much more potential they can fulfill.
now,i think that since we already paid so mutch for the game and some of us beat it, i dont agree with a price.besides, i would get it strictly for the war rig.
