I hate Max :( SPOILER ALERT! Dont read unless you finished game!!

So.. i finished this game on PS4 i really enjoyed it but after the ending scene i really hate this character... i really do.. i dont know why he had to kill Chumbucket it was really really cruel after what he done for him.. what are your thoughts guys? i know Max is cruel ♥♥♥♥♥♥ but doing this? thats too much

Even though the dev gave a good reason, it still feels like ♥♥♥♥. loved the game by the way.

I'm not sure why people are accusing Chum for Hope and Glory death. Hope told him that he was betrayed and she literally said to him "so what". He had the chance to stay with them and save them, but he didn't. So basically he chose not to save them and ultimately causing their death. Another thing, Max was after Scrotus, not his rig. IMO Chum's death and more importantly magnum opus destruction weren't necessary, but I guess the whole game is about MAD max, and he always stays alone

I think the point of the ending is that despite visiting Griffa numerous times to try to find his past and reconnect with who he was and could be, that he ended up repeating the circumstances that had lead him to be conflicted and 'mad' in the first place; his inability to keep his wife and child alive. The tragedy of Max is he is an instinctual survivor, even though he doesn''t want to be (he mentions something about his survival training overiding his own volition) but is incapable of saving those around him, even though he is often viewed as a saviour by them. Max is doomed; cursed even, to drive into legend alone...... "and he lives now only in our memory".... ;)

I kinda like the video game Mad Max and it was worth the money.

But to be honest I was a little sad about I couldn't save either Hope or Glory. I feel sorry for the two poor souls.

It dont make any sense to ruined the Magnus Opus cars as you spent the entire game building it. I dont think Max wanted to sacrifice it. He kinda need it to cross the plains of silence.

Mad Max could easy have wasted the Lawn mower on the cliff with a couple of thunderpoon or just waited it out with his sniper rifle from a distance to get the perfect shot on Scrotus.

I kinda hoped that we manage to install two large fuel drums to the Magnus Opus and see him leave in the sun setting, maybe with Hope and Glory too as a new family.

Also I kinda missed a epic melee battle with Max Vs. Scrotus in the endning. I really hoped that there would be a good CQC with him.

The sidekick Chumbucket?, dunno.

But the game is fair enough and the game story endes at status quo.

That didn't make any sense for me too... Any of the choices made by Max made him a cruel son of a... From abandoning Hope and Glory to pratically kill Chum... After all Chum has made for him, he would just tossed Chum away for a second gas tank.

I believe that a more plausible and not so meaningless ending would be if Glory and Chum survived and Max left Glory with Chum to continue his lone travel in the recently recovered Interceptor... Even better would be Chum improving the Interceptor a little bit to help Max on his journey... The girl would be "trained" to be the driver of the Magnum Opus...

This ending would fit much better on the Mad Max mythos than the one provided by the game makers...
