Well this comment aged badly. Fury Road one of the best action movies ever made based on income? Budget was 185 million and the move made 380 million....about 10 million in profit. In terms of Hollywood, that's not good.
Furiosa is a huge flop and could barely edge out Garfield. Not only is it a flop it looks like it will be Miller's last foray into the Mad Max world, period.
Telling the origins of a background Mary Sue girl boss, turned out to be not so good of an idea. The people who bring Mad Max money want to see films with Max Rockatansky and with an ancient Mel Gibson. If George didn't exist in the Hollywood bubble he would know that and he would have made a movie that would allow him to continue making said movies.
Now it's over.
All of them + the game are masterpieces.
Well said.

You know what else is “critically acclaimed” but is awful?
The Acolyte. So I’m sorry if I don’t take people who get paid to review things seriously.
Fury Road still has a very high audience rating on IMDB, it's in top 250 movies, its audience scores are very high everywhere. For example, it's rated higher than Road Warrior on Letterboxd. So it's very clear to almost anyone that Mad Max does work without Mel Gibson.
Fury Road already was kinda lame, the action sequence were fine but the story/chars meh... the new Furiosa crap is just utter garbage.
the game on the other hand is nice, could have been better but all in all could have been a lot worse, the story is fine and ironically would make for a much better Mad Max movie than Fury Road and Furiosa together.
I prefer the vision of the game to all new movies anyway and I think giving it to Kojima would be a really bad idea, he would murder the franchise even more so no thanks.
Fury Road was really cool, but at the same time felt weird: Max degraded so much that he almost lost ability to speak and as that youtube channel calls it: "Tom hardly in the movie"

Visuals, story, characters are all fairly interesting for now.
Of course it can always go downhill from episode 3 but if you enjoyed Clone Wars or The Bad Batch you will definitely like this show.
Don't get me started on the soundtrack, which is excellent.
Maybe you feel a deep need to identify with the characters rather than be interested in the underlying story and dynamics? But saying the show is awful is so hyperbolic you opinion cannot be taken seriously. Like Millers opinion on this game who should stick to cinematography, he doesn't seem to know much about vidya.
If we have to be objective about it though, you saying the show is awful speaks volumes about your ability or rather inability to be unbiasedly critical.
On a side note, watching Furiosa then Fury Road back to back is a great experience if you like well crafted movies that pay homage to the original material while having their own vibe. Just like this game.
The behind the scenes though make the movies seem even cooler in retrospect.
Furiosa is a 250 000 000$ flop.
all furtur mad max canceled.
