Furiosa was horrible...won't have any video games in the future thanks to the lackluster box-office. Should've made a Mad Max sequel instead, would've made way more money instead of a movie prequel based on a second rate character that wasn't that interesting to begin with. :MMNotGood:

Mad Mad: Fury Road is one of the best movies I'ever ever seen, it's my second favourite after Road Warrior, then MM1. Obviously MM3 is garbage to me, I doubt that ones a unique opinion.

...after Furiosa's clear success

Well this comment aged badly. Fury Road one of the best action movies ever made based on income? Budget was 185 million and the move made 380 million....about 10 million in profit. In terms of Hollywood, that's not good.
Furiosa is a huge flop and could barely edge out Garfield. Not only is it a flop it looks like it will be Miller's last foray into the Mad Max world, period.
Telling the origins of a background Mary Sue girl boss, turned out to be not so good of an idea. The people who bring Mad Max money want to see films with Max Rockatansky and with an ancient Mel Gibson. If George didn't exist in the Hollywood bubble he would know that and he would have made a movie that would allow him to continue making said movies.

Now it's over.

I watched Furiosa, then I play this game. So funny to realize, that George got a lot out of this game.

We live in an era where horrible movies like "Black Panther" got nominated for Best Picture and won many accolades. Film industry and their so called "critics" are a joke, and their opinion is completely worthless to us regular Joes.

Except Black Panther is an incredible movie for black people. This guy perfectly explained why exactly it was great:

Clearly mad max doesn't work without Mel Gibson, you think hollywood would of learned that the first time they tried it. Let's see if they try for a 3rd time.
Fury Road is literally one of the most critically acclaimed films of the past 20 years what are you smoking

You know what else is “critically acclaimed” but is awful?
The Acolyte. So I’m sorry if I don’t take people who get paid to review things seriously.

Huh? The first episode of The Acolyte was released just a week ago, its Rotten Tomatoes/Metacritic rating is not that high. People haven't seen all episodes yet. It didn't get through awards seasons and critical reevaluation, etc. etc. It's not “critically acclaimed” yet, it's certainly not one of the most critically acclaimed TV shows like, let's say, Andor. It's nowhere near as critically acclaimed as Fury Road.

Fury Road still has a very high audience rating on IMDB, it's in top 250 movies, its audience scores are very high everywhere. For example, it's rated higher than Road Warrior on Letterboxd. So it's very clear to almost anyone that Mad Max does work without Mel Gibson.

yeah he is just old now, tbh real Mad Max is just the first 3 movies and Mel Gibson.

Fury Road already was kinda lame, the action sequence were fine but the story/chars meh... the new Furiosa crap is just utter garbage.

the game on the other hand is nice, could have been better but all in all could have been a lot worse, the story is fine and ironically would make for a much better Mad Max movie than Fury Road and Furiosa together.

I prefer the vision of the game to all new movies anyway and I think giving it to Kojima would be a really bad idea, he would murder the franchise even more so no thanks.

I agree, the game's characters and plot are more interesting than Fury Road (haven't seen Furiosa yet).
Fury Road was really cool, but at the same time felt weird: Max degraded so much that he almost lost ability to speak and as that youtube channel calls it: "Tom hardly in the movie"

You can praise the game without ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on something else. Furiosa even made it canon by adding Scrotus to the movie. George Miller knows ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about video games, he just thinks the game's bad because it was released on the same day as Metal Gear Solid V and unsurprisingly bombed. Which makes it even more ironic that he wants Hideo Kojima to do a Mad Max game now.

The Acolyte appears to be a nice addition and redeems some of the other lower quality shows, pacing and story wise, that seemed to be more geared towards small children which Disney put out these last few years.
Visuals, story, characters are all fairly interesting for now.
Of course it can always go downhill from episode 3 but if you enjoyed Clone Wars or The Bad Batch you will definitely like this show.
Don't get me started on the soundtrack, which is excellent.

Maybe you feel a deep need to identify with the characters rather than be interested in the underlying story and dynamics? But saying the show is awful is so hyperbolic you opinion cannot be taken seriously. Like Millers opinion on this game who should stick to cinematography, he doesn't seem to know much about vidya.
If we have to be objective about it though, you saying the show is awful speaks volumes about your ability or rather inability to be unbiasedly critical.

On a side note, watching Furiosa then Fury Road back to back is a great experience if you like well crafted movies that pay homage to the original material while having their own vibe. Just like this game.
The behind the scenes though make the movies seem even cooler in retrospect.
