Game crashing on startup
Basically title, I've tried restarting steam, restarting pc, reinstalling the game, reinstalling visual c++ 2010, verify game files. disable scaling, running steam in administrator, running mad max in administrator, disable compatibility mode on windows and up to date video drivers. The game works on my steam deck but not my desktop pc. Any tips?

Edit: Tried to delete the steam_api64.dll file and verify files, did not work. Disable microsoft firewall, did not work either. Remember no problems when I last played it in 2015.

It's crashes at the startup loading screen (red image with Max punshing a guy and a white loading icon bottom right). I got 271 GB free storage on ssd. Using 3080 and I7-8700K.

I tried SO MANY things the community suggested:
• Countless restarts
• Run as administrator
• Windows 7 or Windows 8 Compatibility Mode
• Delete all saves and configuration files for Mad Max
• Disabling GSync
• Setting Windows resolution to 1920x1080@60Hz (instead of my usual 3840x2160@144Hz)
• Disabling image scaling in NVIDIA Control Panel
• Validate game files through Steam
• Disable Steam Overlay
• Update NVIDIA drivers
• Disable Windows Game Mode
• Install a codec pack (K-Lite Full)
• Install BINK Rad Video Tools
• Reinstall game to a different hard drive
• Reinstall DirectX Redistributable (June 2010 DirectX runtime)
• Uninstall NVIDIA GeForce Experience

... and nothing worked. Every single attempt, I got the same 0xc0000094 (integer divide by zero) error showing up in the Windows Event Viewer application logs, game crashing within 5-7 seconds of starting up.

And then, eureka! I FINALLY found success: I downloaded the latest GeForce drivers from GeForce.com (which, mind you, was the SAME version I had installed), selected the option to just install drivers wthout GeForce Experience, and selected "Clean Installation".

And the game is working flawlessly.

My system specs, in case this info helps anyone in a similar boat:
Windows 10 Pro x64 (22H2, build 19045.4529)
AMD Ryzen 7 5800X @ 4.85GHz OC
32GB DDR4 @ 1800MHz (4x8GB Crucial BL8G36C16U4R.M8FE1
SAMSUNG 990 Pro 2TB
10GB EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 FTW3 ULTRA GAMING (10G-P5-3897-KL)
