How to have sniper ammo?

Killing snipers is one way to get more sniper ammo. If you don't have any, and you want to kill a sniper, you can shoot him with your harpoon, use the harpoon to pull his tower down, or, in some cases, climb up to his platform and beat him to death or kill him with your shotgun. You wouldn't think you'd be able to get close enough to a sniper to attack him on foot, but remember, sniper rifles are long-distance weapons, and have a very slow rate of fire. So the snipers are at a disadvantage when you come at them on foot.

There are other sources of sniper ammo, of course, including looting various locales, and building the armory projects in the various strongholds.

You'll eventually unlock upgrades which will give you free ammo when you go to a stronghold. Once you get those you'll never really worry about ammo again.
