Any tips for beginners?

Please share your tips. I just started playing it and it looks promising.

If you car is getting wrecked, or on fire, by enemy vehicles jump out and fight them on foot... Early on you have no real weapons and the Opus is quite delicate...

As Pantherr said, but with a bit of addition: if you are on foot, make sure you are on a surface that cars don't really belong, ie. rocky slopes, planks etc., because on flat ground they will hit you with a car until you die.

Another tip: do ALL the side missions, crew missions, scrap collections, I did not even drive to Gutgash, and I have the max. level harpoon! You can use the harpoon to clear out camps too by luring the enemies out of the camp and just rip their guts out.

At first NEVER use your shoutgun, only if really neccessary, a lot of camps have scrotus insignias up where you can not reach them with hands, and early on, you have 1-2 shotgun shells at max. and the drop rates are low.

There is a fast car in the Jeet area, the Golden Tuska, bring it back to the fort, it is very great to win Death races and get griffa tokens (those tokens will improve your abilities for example more water, more ammo from sources, more hitpoints, etc.).

I think you mean "Cleanup Crew", they pick up scrap when you destroy other cars etc, "Survey Crew" shows all the various scrap locations in that region...

Correct, and they are the best things to build first

You can also just track the parts location from the Stronghold

There isn’t any reason to worry about scrap or Griffa tokens. You will get plenty by the end of the game

Well I didn't know you could track the locations from the strongholds, after all my hours I pretty much have them all memorised lol.. Good to know though...

Haha yup, I didn’t know until Pink Ryes region and was like “wait wtf?” when I realized you can just mark em on your map

in my second playthrough I found it fun to avoid most of max's upgrades from Griffa as well as for Strongholds since it kept the game challenging. There is just one difficulty so it gets a little too easy in my opinion with upgrades that let you ignore allot of the "survival" aspects of the game like finding gas, water, scrap etc.
