Confused About Poor Performance
I'm a huge fan of the post-apocalypse genre that came from Mad Max, and I love building cars, so this game seemed like a dream come true. This game's reviews said that the the game had great optimization and ran well even if you only met the minimum requirements. I've got a real low frame rate though which makes driving in the ravines near impossible.

Here're my specs, am I wrong about meeting the requirements?
Processor: AMD FX(tm)-8350 Eight-Core Processor 4.00 Ghz
RAM: 32 GB
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 710

If I just have outdated hardware, which of the above would be the most in need of a replacement?

Is there a way to reach my Direct X and make sure it's up to date?

Thanks for the help! The game's concept seems awesome but I just won't enjoy it if I can't get it running right.

I have a Phenom II sixcore, 16 Gig RAM, a 2GiB RX460 and game runs well. You are probably limited by the GT710. Tried to reduce graphics effects ?

Found your problem. It's below the minimum requirement.

Ive got an old Phenom II quad core 3.2ghz, with my GTX 1050 the game runs really well...

Gotcha. Thanks

i'm using Nvidia GTX 750 with Ryzen 3 3100 + 16 GB ram, and the game run smooth with all High settings. I guess you'll need at least a graphic card like mine.

Dude. 710 is not even a GPU, it's a placeholder that can show a desktop wallpaper. Seriously.

You will have problems with running most 3d games from 00s. Even build-in GPUs in Intel CPUs are much much better than Geforce 710.

To start evaluating GPUs you can use this site's GPU database:
https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/radeon-hd-7970.c296

Most basic value to look at is FP32 TeraFLOPS performance.
FP32 (float) performance
3.789 TFLOPS

Then you can look at game's system requirements, and compare TFLOPs of GPUs.
But bare in mind, that TFLOPS comparison is rude and theoretical, because it only represents synthetic maximum computational performance of GPU. That's why actual popular games are used as reference in reviews when measure performance in video games.

Dang, I was so excited to get a dedicated graphics card. Thanks for the link! I didn't know how to even start comparing GPUs.

Well, on a bright side of things. Now you have a PCI-E card to test GPU-less systems, or in case of emergency when GPU would die. :p2chell::teacup:
Don't blame yourself, there is a planet-wide scum going on.
