How do I get scrap for hijacking a fuel track from a caravan?

Hi,

I have hijacked a fuel truck and brought it to Jeet's stronghold.
I didn't get any scrap, and since it was "auto-parked" but didn't add to the collection (this type of vehicles can't), it has also disappeared.

So, the next time I hijack such a truck, what to do with it?

You're supposed to destroy it.....then there will be an ornament left in it place for you to collect and add it to your ornament collection.
There's only one mission where you have to bring the fuel truck back to a stronghold...it is then fitted with explosives and you drive it to the wall to open a passage.

You may also be getting mixed up with the Scrapulances, which you DO drive back to a stronghold to claim the scrap in them, but they should be clearly differentiable from other vehicles by the massive "scrap" icon hanging over them.

Which Fuel truck?

Theres 2 kinds - one is a convoy truck with a barrel.
The other is an actual Fuel truck.

Honestly, I think it's silly that you can't bring the convoy truck back as an alternative to outright destroying it.

What? Is a massive explosion the only thing capable of unfastening the hood ornament from the truck? If so, I'd have liked it if the game told me about this *before* I went through all the effort to cross half of Jeet's territory while outrunning a sandstorm, just to get cheated out of an ornament as soon as I arrive back the stronghold.

I had a similar story.
Although, I wasn't cahsed by the sandstorm, I captured the truck in quite surprising way - the rest of caravan drove away as I ejected the truck's driver (usually they keep protecting the truck.
I hopped into it and drove it into Jeet's stronghold and it vanished. Although this should logically b giving you the ornament. Also why didn't they bother to add the truck as a part of the collection. Would be a nice addition

So, despite the fact that the game clearly tells you to destroy the vehicle, you instead decided to drive it around in the hope that not destroying it would somehow count? You are as mad as Max...bravo, I think.

Game also clearly tells you to destroy enemy vehicles as well, but at same time you can stole it and add to your collection. There is no warning or any notifications about main convoy car can't be stolen in same way.
This is called improvisation. But perhaps you are that kind of players who doing everything according to game targets, without anything else in mind.
