Game Freeze
Everytime i harpoon a scarecrow and pull it down, my game freezes for a split second then comes back.
I can't see it being my GPU or anything as i'm constantly on 144fps.
Any ideas what this could be?
'Edit' Also every time game auto saves it freezes

Mine too. I saw a thread about how to fix that, but can't find it at the moment. It's getting more annoying the more I play. Game seems to Autosave constantly.

Check your antivirus, something like proactive setting that scans every file write operation which game performs when autosaving.
It might not affect all games since not games save as often and in less secure locations(tip: don't have Steam installed in Program Files).

This is it:

It involves blocking Write permissions to certain files. It was Post #5 in that thread.

Go into your steam\userdata folder, find the folder containing Mad max savegames (it's called "remote"), select the folder, click "properties" then "Security".

Then all you need to do is to negate "Write" permissions to ALL users you find in the list.

Amazingly, the game keeps saving the game anyway, and the stutters are 100% gone.
Game is butter smooth, ZERO slowdowns ever.

And people told me to upgrade my pc, LOL."

Just curious, do you have Steam installed in Program Files? I don't think this would happen otherwise.
And game saves keep working because it's a second location just for the purpose of cloud saves(BTW disabling cloud saving for MM might work in same fashion), first location is %userprofile%\Documents\WB Games\Mad Max which is not as secure as Program Files.

So be wary: doing that you most likely lose cloud saving.

Ok, tried the Write Permissions Negating thing, and it helped noticeably. Not all of the stutters are gone, but I'd say at least 75% of them are (1 out of every 4 saves still does a little hitch-pause). At least it doesn't freeze in the middle of actiony areas anymore, now I usually get them only when transitioning to new areas of the map and the game has to load in some new assets.

HUGE improvement over trying to drive and fight and swerve...............and stopping............... every 30...................seconds to watch the screen bluuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuur.............................

Tried disabling steam cloud? Though i'm actually unsure does that only stop sync or game writing to that location as well. Sorry.
Anyway does not happen to me on win7 x64 with no antivirus except free&simple microsoft one.

I've had Steam Cloud Sync saving disabled since... many, many years ago.. like Batman Arkham Asylum release time, because it would somehow screw up my saves.

I can try disabling my a/v as well, to test it, but Avast! gives me pop-ups telling me such and such game has been excluded as safe once I play one from Steam. Although... I don't remember ever seeing one pop up for this game.

Will check... tomorrow. Sadly, no gaming time today. Probably not much tomorrow, not until really late in the evening. Stupid real life crap. >:-<
